Book shelf was super sturdy, very attractive, and easy to assemble. Only thing, as noted by someone else, don't think you can put it where the back is exposed to any view. It has a wide strip of tape the color of masking tape, going across the back side. Stands out like a sore thumb. It's OK for my use up against a solid wall, but just beware of there's any line of sight to it that it is a light beige against the dark brown backing material.

Fairly easy to assemble if you pay very close attention to the instructions and the positions of holes that will be important down the road. Else, you may have to disassemble and reassemble it a few times to get everything lined up. In the end, very solid and very nice looking... from the front. I was disappointed to find that the back is just cardboard and the edges, which are visible on either side, don't match the bookcase. I colored the edges with a black sharpie because I didn't want to see an 1/8" strip of brown cardboard down the sides of the bookshelf. I was also disappointed to find that the back, which is made up of two panels, is taped together with a wide strip of brown paper tape. Very good glue on the tape so it is very hard to take off. It won't come off in one piece. I had to peel off dozens of short chunks and then use an adhesive remover to get rid of the glue residue. I don't know why they don't use tape that matches the color of the bookcase or just give you two panels to screw on. Except for the issues I had related to cardboard and brown tape I liked the way it turned out. Solid and attractive where it is placed.

I Would Buy This Again & Again. I bought 2 actually. One for each side of my TV Stand. These are Sturdy, Heavy and the Exaxt color I wanted. The steel design on the sides look So good & makes them look Really expensive. I had to start over on the first one but I just went back through the instructions and it they were easy to assemble. They are definitely Bigger than they look. I live all of the new storage space for my books & pictures. They could Easily hold 15-20 Hard Cover books.
