Description

No carpet spot dye kit can work in all situations. The following is listed in the manufacturer's product description. (In following the directions, the discoloration will either approach a very close match or do nothing at all. The process is slow to prevent mistakes. If the product fails, a refund of the total purchase price will be given.) We suggest Texting a photo to before purchasing. Not for stain removal. Separate products are for Stain removal. BLEACHSTAIN manufactured this spot dye kit specifically for homeowners repairing discolorations on carpeting. Automatically goes to correct color. No mixing or matching is required. 100% Money-Back Guarantee. This product is highly accurate and will work in most cases. It will not work for Polyester Carpeting. It is not designed to cover stains. It is only intended for replacing missing colors. Directions must be followed precisely. We are available 24 hours to assist in understanding and following the rules. Kit contains Instructions, Use of Help Line. 3 Reactants (enough to restore many tiny spots or a few large spots), a bleach neutralizer, 4 Spray bottles. Customer supplies needed wet vac, Bissell, or any extraction machine. This kit will work on all shades and colors of Carpeting. Dyeing bleach stains with hues similar to the carpet will result in a wrong shade or color. Most bleach stains are partial and contain some color. Adding similar colors to the same carpet color will blend with the remaining color and not match. We replace only the missing primary colors. If you have made the mistake of applying fabric marker pens or other methods that result in a color mismatch, we can help remove this dye and restore the proper shade and color. A separate kit is sold for this.

  • Really, really bad
I am extremely dissatisfied with this product, and my entire (wholly frustrating) experience dealing with this company which does not honor its policies. The product description is incorrect. If I could sit here and leave a hundred one star reviews, I would.

  • Works as Advertised, Takes Patience But Great Results
I had great luck with this product and I recommend it for bleach marks. But remember, this is for bleach discoloration, not typical stains. With a stain you have some other substance like wine or dirt that you need to remove. That's not this product. Bleach removes the dye from your carpet so you have to add color back. That's what this is for. Think of it like hair. If you bleach your hair no amount of shampoo will turn it back to the original color. You have to dye it back. Or let it grow out but if your carpet is growing you have some other problem entirely. It is really important that you follow the directions closely. First you make and apply a solution that neutralizes the bleach. Then you make very dilute dye solutions so you can slowly add back color until it matches the surrounding carpet. It's a time consuming process. This is by design as you don't want to over color the area. The instructions explain that you need something to remove the excess water as you spray on the dyes. A shop vac works well for this but remember to empty it before you start or you'll wind up with mud in the vac. And remember to dump it periodically while you're working. I had to dump my 2.5 gallon twice. As you can see I got it to the point where it's almost impossible to see. I can't find it now unless I'm really looking for it. I think with some practice this could go a lot faster but I really don't want more practice. I would have had to replace all the carpet on the stairs which would have been many times the cost of the dye kit. I would definitely buy this again although I have plenty of leftover dye to do more spots if needed. ... show more

  • Very Satisfied Customer Even Though The Carpet Was Unable To Be Repaired
I decided to give this cleaning kit a try after I made a rather large stain on my carpet by mistakenly using a kitchen cleaner that contained bleach to clean up after a pet. The instructions that came with the kit noted that the customer service was only available during the weekdays but since this was my weekend house, waiting until Monday wasn't an option and so I decided to give it a try on my own. I followed the instructions exactly but wasn't seeing any signs of improvement about halfway through the process. As a shot in the dark, I decided to give the customer service a call. To my surprise, Jerry answered and I explained to him my situation as well as everything I had done to that point. Before I even finished my story, Jerry had already diagnosed the problem as me having a polyester carpet and told me that the dyes would not be able to remedy the bleach stain. It was definitely a bummer but he immediately gave me instructions for sending the kit back and told me that my purchase would be completely refunded. Sending the product back was fairly painless and my card was credited with the $100 by the end of the following week. Even though the kit was unsuccessful for me, I still wanted to show my support for this company. Jerry saved me a lot of time and effort by answering my weekend call and that is very appreciated. Also, I'm probably one of the world's biggest skeptics when it comes to "money-back guarantees," but I'm happy to be able to say that this is an honest, no hassle guarantee that I wish more companies would try to emulate. So keep up the good work Jerry, I'm happy to have done business with you and I wish you and your company nothing but the best! ... show more

  • IT DOESNT WORK!!!
i was very optimistic about this because the owner of the company said it will work on discolorations. Sad to say that it doesnt. I read the instructions several times, followed the instructions and even called the owner for assistance per instructions but it still didnt work. Obviously the owner, Jerry, said I didnt follow the instructions when I actually did. He uttered words " You believe you understand them when you dont" and called me "prideful! How could you say that to a customer who was talking to you nicely with respect? I learned from a company that does repairs that the discoloration on my carpet cannot be repaired. I should have listened instead of purchasing this product. I feel mislead and I cant even return it. Let this be a warning to those who will purchase this product. Its not easy to use. You follow instructions and ask their help over the phone, but if it doesnt work, the owner will put the blame on you 100% like he did to me and you cannot return it. ... show more

  • Great repair option for bleach stains!
Hands down your best shot at saving yourself a major expense of carpet "cut and replace" for fixing bleach stains! Go to YouTube and watch their videos before you proceed and for your benefit read the instructions please. It took several applications to bring back the original color and that's what you want.. If you mix too dark you will end up with a slightly darker area of the rug. I spent about an hour following instructions and will post before and after pics below. If you are doing a beige carpet all you will most likely need to use is the blue die to fix orange or yellowish bleach stains. White bleach stains will require a stronger mix and may involve two colors but always start with the blue. Since I posted the pics I did anothe application and it even looks better now. ... show more
