Growing up, all I ever really knew of dog food was, well, bagged dog food. Occasionally I’d see our dogs getting other things as a treat but never the main focus. I’ve been on my own personal health journey for me & my kids and have been super conscious about foods. Now that we have a growing golden retriever pup in the family, I want to be conscious of her foods too! I didn’t know dogs could eat so many of these things & the benefits for them. This is a great recipe book full of so much healthy yumminess. I love the added details that come with the how to store certain recipes and additional notes in others. I do wish there were some photos included but that just because in a visual person who prefers the images with recipes. I loved this book. My dog is like a child to me, and I would do anything for him. I have always cooked his meals, but had very little idea about meal ideas, foods that are good for him, those that are harmful, etc... This book has all of that information in one place. It has a very detailed breakdown of dog nutritional needs at all stages of a dog's life, in addition to the delicious recipes. I am vegan myself (though my dog is not- haha) and there were even veg/vegan recipes included! I highly recommend this book for anyone with a dog.
