To be honest, it seemed easy enough to assemble and while it would have been easy with 2 people, I was managing just on my own, until I got to the legs. The legs did not attach properly - were very loose, despite trying several times. Then, when I tried to lay the shelf with the legs on the floor, 2 of them pulled right out of the fittings, and pulling off the wood veneer etc. I still tried a few times even with some of the wood missing, but zero success, so I unscrewed everything, packaged it all back up again, and returned it to Amazon. I know that the particle board that is used for most of this furniture is not that sturdy, but I have never had something pretty much disintegrating in my hands. In fact I have several other pieces of furniture that needed assembly and purchased from Amazon, so I think this was just a badly made one. I do not recommend this! ... show more

The instructions were a bit much to figure out, a lot of the screws included, were poorly machined and could not be used. Overall, it worked out as I always keep extra nuts , bolts, screws etc. The lift top instructions a bit vague . It was pretty, once finally done and the lift top is quite nice.

This table is definitely for small spaces as it was a lot smaller than I thought. I recommend this for dorm rooms or temporary living situations. This furniture is not made to last, and will not endure a move. I bought it to go in front of my regular sized couch, but in front of the couch, the table looks like doll furniture. The assembly wasn’t too bad, but there are a lot of cam locks that I don’t like dealing with. As for the sturdiness, it uses cam locks, and it is not real wood. One mistake with the cam locks and the fake wood will break. On the upside, the table is cute and pretty much looks just like the pictures once you spend a couple of hours putting it together. ... show more

Easy to follow instructions. Didn’t take me long at all. Assembling the table top with hinges, however was a two man job. I wish the hinges were longer so the table top comes up a few inches higher but this will work. I knew it was going to be a minimal lift when I bought it. Assembly instructions are crap. Hard to tell orientation of some of the pieces. If you are ept and slightly mechanical is ok but if not instructions are Chinese junk. The table top is Damaged out of the box. I’ve contacted the seller. The material is very thin pressed together fibers with a melamine cover. You get one time in with the very tiny screws. More to follow in the review when the seller contacts me with a solution or compensation for the damaged top. I knew by the price this would not be high end. We needed a table like this to fill our needs for a short time. Still it’s short of my expectations ... show more

I know the one stars seem petty but listen to my story. This item looks good in pictures but that is the extent of it. It is incredibly hard to put together. The screws don't hold so you are stuck spending minutes trying to get one screw in on to have them fall off later during the assembly process. Plus because they aren't secured other pieces start to fall off leading to more wood damage. Oh and a part was missing! This is a nightmare. You might have to eat the 135 dollars like me who doesn't have the means to ship it. ... show more
