I love this desk. My husband and I rent a small room and I started going to college. I was needing a place to do homework other than the couch and this one fits the bill! My husband was able to put it together within 40 minutes (he did kind of hate the instructions, but he figured it out). We tried mounting it to the wall with the supplied brackets following the instructions and the desk wasn't very sturdy. So we added an additional bracket on top with a drywall anchor and now it's not going anywhere! The desk is cute. I like that it had an open frame/legs unlike other versions I saw that were just a flat board on the front. It's plenty big enough for my 17 inch laptop. I even just store it on a shelf in there when not in use. The chalkboard is cool, my daughter likes drawing on it. I didn't have any space for a lamp, so I got some battery operated LEDS and stuck them to the underside of the shelves for some additional light and that works great. TLDR: I love this desk for small spaces, I would totally purchase it again.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I would like to have 5 stars. However, one of the legs was not glued at all where the wood interlocked. I figured I would try to gorilla glue it and clamp it before I put it together. Luckily that worked. I was able to put this murphy desk together in a few hours. The instructions are small but if you follow steps it's easy to assemble. I did purchase better wall anchors instead of using the ones that came with the desk. I didn't want it to fall off the wall. All pieces were included and label. The desk is exactly what I wanted to hold my tarot cards and to be able to do spreads in quiet. I would suggest that the company has better quality control due to the leg not being glued. But it was an easy fix at home so I didn't return it.

My husband and I were really excited about getting this. The intention of this piece was to use it as a folding surface in our laundry room that we recently remodeled. Since it folds up we thought this would be perfect. Well, we finally put it up on the wall last night and this morning we noticed the desk part leaning forward, even though the pin to keep it closed was in place. When we opened it we saw that the part of the board was pulling apart where the pin needs to be inserted to stay closed. That's really upsetting since it was not even 24 hours since we put it together and installed it. Now its installed on our wall and has to stay open. This defeats the purpose of purchasing this specific piece of furniture. Honestly, if it wasn't for that, my rating would've been much higher. But, I can't ignore the fact that it broke so quick. Our excited moved to complete disappointment and frustration in less that 24 hours.

I echo what others have said about the inadequate instructions. The wall bracket measurements were very vague. I am glad I didn't set the drywall anchors before I test-fit the unit or it would have been about 3/4 of an inch too low and the desktop wouldn't have been level. I had to shim the wall brackets to get the shelving unit to even hook onto them. As it was, when I was test fitting the desk and leg portion the hinges that hold the leg frame to the underside of the desktop ripped free completely, shredding the fiberboard. I had to glue and clamp it back together and use slightly larger screws to get it back in one piece, there is still visible damage to the blackboard surface when I fold it shut. I am hoping it holds together. Probably going to see if there's a way I can reinforce it further and still have it be able to fold up. The last thing I need is for it to collapse with my computer and monitor, etc. on it. The ergonomics aren't great either. The surface is at least 3-4 inches too tall for long-term work in my opinion. I am 5'10" and my office chair is as high as it will go, and it's uncomfortably high for my keyboard and mouse. You have to reach, and it's not long before the front edge of the desk is digging into your forearms and causing circulation issues. My 27" monitor sits a bit high, too. I can see this being a nightmare for kids and shorter people.

I love my new desk! Living in an apartment space is limited and this was the perfect solution for our needs. As others have mentioned assembly is tricky. Figuring out where to attach it on the wall is by far the most challenging and frustrating part. It would have been nice if the instructions provided measurements for how far the bottom should be from the floor. We attempted our own measurements and ended up being a little off so there is a very slight slope to the desk but not enough to justify going through the hassle of redoing it. Attaching to the wall is definitely a two person job! Overall I would definitely recommend!

I like these a lot. Putting them together was pretty straight forward. My only complaint is that the edges did not pull together perfectly, but you can't really notice. I also think the measurements offered for hanging height in the directions was off. I just opened the unit and marked the hanging line by hand. Otherwise it was perfect. The hanging mechanism was great to fine tune into level. I have a few pics. You can see they are level. I did not use the cheap yellow anchors. I found a stud for one side hanger and used bolts for the others. I used studs with the bottom to braces. It's in their solid.fits are space perfect and is a nice match.

Really love my new desk. I’ve been working on the couch since quarantine started and I finally gave in and bought a desk. We don’t have much space, so this is a perfect alternative to a traditional computer desk, as I can fold away my days work and not have to think about it come 5pm! Also has ample storage space for my pens and notebooks, and feels very sturdy. It was a little difficult to assemble- make sure you have a person handy to help you lift the desk into position. Also make sure you are diligent with measuring.
