  • Perfect size at the perfect price
Out of the box it was very easy to assemble. None of the hardware was missing. FYI the bench top does not come with predrilled holes, but I view that as a positive and that customizability is one of the reasons I bought it. I’ve used this table for all kinds of work, it’s a good work bench. From woodworking projects to metalworking projects, soldering to hammering it’s proved to be very functional. It’s light enough to be easily moved around, but heavy enough to be loaded down with tools and random stuff and still be hammered on. Overall, you will not find better value for your money than this table (at least on Amazon, you may be able to build a cheaper workbench yourself). The one bad thing I’ll say is that the bench top comes pretreated with some sort of varnish. Make sure you wipe it or torch it off thoroughly before you use it. It will leave stains. It is otherwise perfect. ... show more

  • Not for heavy-duty work
This table is excellent for a hobby table. It is also excellent as a light craft table. Don't try rebuilding your old Chevy engine on it. All I did was try to saw a 4x4 clamped to it and it shook all over the place. It's easy to build and to mount vise and grinder.

  • No pre-drilled holes for tabletop...
I am super pleased with this workbench... first of all, the manufacturer's packaging is second to none. Fasteners were not flying around in the box during shipment and there was absolutely zero damage to any of the parts. Kudos! As for the quality of the parts, I could not be more pleased. Powder coating is spot on and workbench top is finished for the purpose of being used. And once the table is put together, it is one sturdy piece of shop furniture. Absolutely zero wobble in any direction. So......... if you have little to no experience putting this kind of stuff together, this project will test your patience and the quality of your build. First of all, the instructions are almost non existent. Secondly, there are no pre-drilled holes to mount the tabletop to the leg frame. So, getting it mounted straight might frustrate you beyond words. Lastly, the tabletop mounting screws are inferior. I used 1-1/4" decking screws. The tips of the screws barely poked through the tabletop. I removed them with an angle grinder. For the money I am not sure you can buy a better workbench. Best of luck : - ) ... show more

  • Wholesome Item
Do you remember moving away from home as a young adult? Remember your first shared or solo living arrangement? I can remember going to various greengrocers and begging empty fruit crates. Yes, crates made out of wood, no cardboard boxes or plastic bins to be had. Once home, and stacked to hold albums and books, they became true furniture. They even had a smell. Like wood and fruit (or veggies, etc., no fish.) Well, here is a nostalgia item. It's a tall table, not a coffee table or a dining table. Great for standing at, like a drafting table, but much less costly. When it arrived, the whole inside of the cardboard shipper box smelled like those crates of yesteryear, and I knew exactly what to do. In my spare time I build heavy duty cabinets with veneered outsides, and I've come across a natural wood preservative you can buy right on Amazon.com called Howard's Wax-n-feed, (Howard Products FW0016 Wood Polish ... - Amazon.comwww.amazon.com › Howard-Products-FW0016-Feed-...) That stuff is made for, and perfect with a tabletop made from the materials HOMCOM utilizes. The wax is just simply absorbed, like a Tung Oil on Sanded Pine. A 4-ounce bottle is more than enough. And it smells GREAT. It's not just the Fir scent, but the Orange Zest and Carnauba Wax all together. When the preservative hits the HOMCOM tabletop slab, the wood changes color and goes immediately to a mostly-honey shade, but the oil type transparency and the affinity of the HOMCOM material to the wax produces what looks like a thin transparent layer of the top of the wood. Much prettier than plywood. I slobbered it on with small square of scotchbrite, and didn't buff, but just turned the wood over and did the other side just as generously. Unusual choice of species by the manufacturer, with outstanding results. Hello Bohemia! ... show more

  • Sturdy but flawed
The table was hard to put together because it isn’t marked for screw placement. I had to measure/guess where the legs should screw in. Once assembled it is sturdy. However, the wood is soft and dents when you apply pressure.

  • Poor quality.
I found this to be a very disappointing piece. When I opened the box, the table top was broken. On a glued joint. The remaining joints are somewhat suspect too (there are several voids). The wood is very soft. One can easily mark it up with a fingernail. Also, there is no leg/foot adjustment. If it rocks, you’ll have to fix that with another purchase. I did not send this back. I had plans to alter it into a different size and double the tabletop thickness with plywood anyway. Cutting, sanding, sealing, and welding were involved. But, had I wanted to use it as is, I could not have. I would advise against this if you aren’t planning on a project or will be happy with a soft topped table that will require you to put a finish on it. ... show more

  • You pay for what you get, sort of....
This is a cool looking and very, very easy to assemble workbench. Disregard reviews saying the nuts don’t fit, they do and are self locking meaning you need pliers on the nut and a power drill with a lug head adapter to screw the bolt into the nut. I’m not handy at all and it was easy to do this. The reason I give it a low rating is that the wooden bench top had a board on it that was EXTREMELY loose, meaning I literally broke it off with my hand like a loose tooth. It left a clean line and I still had enough bench top wood to screw it to the frame. I highly doubt the board “break” was due to shipping, it was obviously put together very haphazard in order to be that loose, like comically loose. I laugh and snapped it off. Good thing it was on the end. Is the bench top unfinished? Yes. But I didn’t find it too be too rough, seemed sanded to me. Honestly this thing is only worth about $50 bucks. ... show more
