I purchased a home with this awkwardly small empty space. It’s a usable space… 24” on the short side and 34” on the long side. I spent an eternity looking for some sort of solution and ran across these. The pipes in the wood make *some* of the shelf unusable, but not so much so that it’s pointless to put them up. In any case, here’s the long and short of the 3 stars. It should have been 3 1/2 stars purely because of rust and irritation. First, there was a big hole in the instructions. I mean, it wasn’t that serious as the “main” picture with arrows was not damaged. No biggie. Second, rust. There is rust on several of the pieces. Not a HUGE deal as I can clean it off, but it’s irritating to have to, especially since I pulled it right out of the box. It issn’t just one small spot, either. Its several. There is rust on the inside of all the pipes. It isn’t a heavy layer of of rust on anything, but just enough to be annoying. Third, one of the pipes is bent. It’s on a side where the hole isn’t; I can work around it. Other things to note - I don’t thing it’s listed anywhere, but the boards aren’t real wood. There is chipping on one of the holes of the boards I received. Others had chips on the corners and sides. Some of the shelves are a bit wobbly - not all are equal wobble. The screws in the middle on the bottom anchors are in a weird spot, so it’s a challenge to screw them in, but entirely possible. With all the “issues” noted, I actually ordered a second one to take up the other side of the wall. Tl; dr - minor irritations, mostly due to rust. Boards aren’t real wood. Easy and intuitive to install and good for small spaces. Not sure if rust comes with all of them, but it’s not so much that I can’t deal with it. This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. It's exactly what I was looking for in terms of style, size, and functionality. I needed something that could do the job in a tight space and fit the decor of the room which is a bedroom converted from a garage. So I wanted something more industrial looking. First amazing thing was the assembly. Great instructions (which is rare) and so simple to put together that anyone could do it. But to me, the best of all was the fact that the material is VERY solid and good. Nothing about it screams fake or cheap. People will think you spent far more then you paid for this. LOVE IT!!!
