Description

Durable garage furniture components are made using high quality steel with 2 mm thick body and 2.5 mm thick framing for strength. Cabinet doors and drawer fronts feature a sleek silver finish for enhanced appearance. Cabinet doors feature a Cylinder Lock for security and recessed handles for a catch-free surface. Body and frame have a black finish. Includes a pull-out shelf with ball bearing glides. Mobile cabinets move easily on 4" locking swivel casters. All units sold separately. 3 year limited warranty. From the Manufacturer Homak Manufacturing was founded in 1947 in Chicago by Sigmund H. Danziger. The name "Homak" was coined after a sign that Sigmund saw on a hat store. Originally a manufacturer of steel kitchen cabinets, Homak Expanded its product offerings in the 1960s to included a separate line of hardware products such as toolboxes, tool cabinets, and other accessories. Homak's hardware line remained strong and was accepted in many major retail businesses of its time. Following Sigmund's death in 1979, his wife, Gertrude, ran the company for 25 years. Under Gertrude's guidance, Homak extended its product line with automotive, hospital, and sporting goods. In January of 2005 Homak was acquired by JVA and moved its office to western Pennsylvania. Its facility now resides in the Wampum Underground Commerce Center. Today, Homak emphasizes tool storage and gun cabinet security. The full product line consists of hand-carry toolboxes, tool bags, parts organizers, tool storage cabinets, workbenches, garage furniture, safety cabinets, spill containment systems, P.B & E. products, steel lockers, gun cabinets, fire-resistant safes, ammo storage boxes and accessories. This is a great cabinet put in my trailer for supplies and it is very sturdy and well made. Went together easy , it’s light weight but not flimsy at all. Has plenty of room I have floor jack and many other items in it for my trailer .👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I love the way it looks . This is a very nice medium gauge cabinet. It comes in a box and needs assembled which is kind of a pain but it’s doable. Lots of little bolts. The only thing I really don’t like about this cabinet is that it has plastic handles on the doors. I want something like this to last my lifetime but am weary of the plastic handles. ... show more

First off, overall, in the grand scheme of things, this is a great cabinet. With that being said, it does have its flaws which to be honest, are somewhat minor. So lets start off with the packaging itself - Amazon ships these in their original box packaging - cool, but the problem with that is the packaging in which they come in is super thin. Very thin cardboard with some foam and foam sheets inside to prevent scratches/dings. It's extremely easy to get a bent corner (which many have complained about) because the original packing is so thin - the package itself with all the contents is pretty heavy so I wish Amazon would double box this or something in order to prevent damage. My first shipment arrived with a box that was re-taped multiple times and with an entire corner exposed - upon opening it to inspect it, multiple panels had bent corners and some really bad dings/scratches. It was returned and replaced - no problem there.Even the replacement came bent and had to manually bend them back with pliers - whatever, once it's put together, you can't even tell. Assembly - so when you get to putting this together, you'll notice that the panels themselves are quite thin and somewhat wobbly. There are I believe, 38 bolts and nuts that needed to attach the panels together. Make sure you have a power drill - in my case, I used a Ryobi 4v Tek4 handheld drill - very small and did the job perfect. I breezed through attaching the many nuts and bolts - it would've take MUCH longer is done manually. Also, I had an extra set of hands assisting me in the assembly which I definitely recommend. Sure, you could do it by yourself and it's definitely possible. I'm just saying it's super helpful if you have an extra set of hands. It does come with 2 shelves, but I only used one of them - when you put both shelves inside, you'll notice it'll get a bit cramped depending on what you want to store inside. Final thoughts - not a bad cabinet at all for the price - I did take away one star for the packaging in which it's shipped. Amazon could definitely do better. Oh, and each cabinet comes with it's own unique set of keys - it's not a universal lock and key. You wont be able to open other cabinets, other than the original, with a single set of keys (if that makes sense). They look pretty good when fully assembled and feel sturdy enough. I am considering purchasing another set - maybe can provide a video review next time around. Hope this helps. ... show more

Seems like it will be a good cabinet for paint storage. Only time will tell. Like another has said, the bottom lip makes it tough to get larger items on the bottom. I had to un-do my installation not once, but TWICE, due to the instructions being horrible. #1: Part D is listed as "Peak Plates", which are the top and bottom. It wasn't until I had the 2nd almost fully bolted on when I realized that the two part "D" are NOT created equal. The one that it to be used for the TOP has the "Homak" label on it. If you put that "D" part on the BOTTOM, the name will be upside down. Maybe not a big deal for a garage cabinet, but if you're anal like me, you'll want it right-side up. #2: OK, this one didn't trip me up, but other have mentioned it, so for completeness' sake: The two sides ("Cheek Plates") and the back ("Backboard") have the shelp support ridges in them. So make sure all the elements have them on the INSIDE and pointing the same way (up or down). #3: The aforementioned "Peak plates" attach to the sides/back, but there's no real indication of which side element goes to the inside of the cabinet, and which stays on the outside. The way I did it (which appears correct) is that the rear (longer dimension) of the top/bottom goes OUTSIDE of the backplate...while the sides go INSIDE the side pieces. So, if you're looking at the side straight on, you'll see only the side plate on both the top at the bottom...however, if you're looking at the rear, you'll see the ~1" lip of the top/bottom overhanging the back plate. Assembly should've only taken me 30 minutes, but due to these do-overs, it took me over an hour. Here's hoping I save someone else that hassle! ... show more

Was not difficult to put together. Took about 30 minutes to put the first one together. The other two took even less time! They are very sturdy after everything is tightened up. The top and bottom go on exactly the same. The instructions omitted the top installation. But very happy with the results. Would buy again! All hardware was of good quality. They came very well packaged. I ordered 3. 2 came in one box. The other came in it's own box. But no damage in transit and Amazon delivery brought it to my garage for delivery! ... show more
