Worth every penny. Easy to put on and works great in a budget build. Green dot is crisp and has brightness adjustment. Stable dot and works great with a magnifier. Easy to adjust windage and elevation with the tool and comes with different mount options.

I was able to grab this on sale, and for the money you likely wont find a better optic. I was originally looking at the AEMS, but decided on this to save, and it does what I need it to. I also have not been able to find a gold dot optic in person, so I didn't want to shell out $300 for one and not like it. The gold dot is easy to pick up on pretty much any color target surface, and does not get washed out by my weapon light (which was one of my biggest worries). The "gold" is more of a yellowish green color, but not hi-vis green like green dots are. Quality seems pretty on-par with all other Holosun optics. Still holding zero after 500 rounds. ... show more

Good sight for the money, took it out and zeroed it at an indoor range, tossed my rifle in the case and into the bed of the truck, drove around a bit went back a month later to check zero and get rounds down range and held zero just fine. I love the shake awake feature, that way in an emergency situation I would have to worry about turning a red dot on. Or forgetting to turn it off at the range. Any other rifles I pick up I will be adding one of these too. ... show more

I bought this primarily because the mount is slightly taller. Other than that, it’s not any better or worse. I’m not a fan of Holosun’s battery tray arrangement. It requires a tool to remove two tiny screws. The dot itself will still give users with astigmatism fits. But it appears well built and everything on it works. Of concern was that both security tapes were opened. This is indicative of a return at some point and it being resold. Not a huge deal as long as the product appears new, it works and all accessories are included. But maybe it should be declared and a few $$ deducted. I chose the red dot for two reasons other than personal preference. Green dots draw more energy resulting in shorter battery life. And some had issues with the gold version. The quality is nice, build quality is very solid, the optic is clear and it has a nice range of brightness adjustments. Adjusting moa was also easy with the provided tool but I used a dime and it worked just as well. I bought the green dot because people said it worked better for people with astigmatism, its alright. It's pretty clear on the lower brightness levels but pretty bad on the higher levels, at least for me but other people without astigmatism who I had test it said the dot was super crisp so your mileage may vary. This is no fault of the optic, just a problem with my eyes. ... show more
