Not even 3 months later of using these shoes for only walking: The right shoe has a hole on the upper part of the heel area on the shoe, exposing the hard plastic, making it uncomfortable and hurtful to my heel. I've purchased 3 pairs of these shoes over the past 2 years and each pair wore differently. I'm 6'1" and 245 lbs. and I wear a 12W. I walk 15-20 miles per week on concrete in the same location each time. My path is 4.4 miles long with about a 4-5% up and down grade. The first pair was really comfortable but only lasted about 5 months. My second pair was really comfortable and wore really well. I wore it for 7 months until I bought the third pair. I've been walking in the third pair for 8 months now while waiting for the Bondi 9 to come out. They are totally broken down at this point. From the very beginning they were not comfortable. They hurt in the arch and were tight around the middle of the shoe. I've gone back to wearing my second pair which has not broken down as badly. I'm trying to hold out for the Bondi 9. I purchased the Transport that advertised as being wide but the toe box seems to be narrower than the Bondi so I shipped it back the same day it arrived. I liked the Bondi 7 and I see they are selling those again because of so many complaints about the Bondi 8. I sure hope the Bodi 9 is improved. I will likely buy the Bondi 7 to alternate with the Bondi 9. I know it's very expensive for 2 pair but Hokas really are the best padded shoe for bigger people. ... show more
