As someone who doesn't own any of the other gaming platforms that this game has previously released on, I have been highly looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy on my Switch and it has been well worth the wait. So far I've had no performance issues running the game on my Switch Lite and I am thoroughly enjoying my time with this wonderful adventure. The open world is immersive and beautiful, with gorgeous graphics, lovely music, and excellent voice acting that brings the variety of characters to life. The story is intriguing and I love the exploration, fun quests, and various secrets to discover. I truly feel as if I'm a student at Hogwarts. The game allows you to choose your difficulty and even on the easiest setting I'm finding the game thoroughly engaging. After hours of gameplay so far I feel I've barely scratched the surface of all this has to offer, and I'm already looking forward to being able to replay it considering the game includes the ability to create up to four characters, allowing each player the opportunity to be able to return to our Hogwarts adventure experiencing each of the four houses should they choose. Even after the main storyline ends, it appears there will be many hours more of side quests and secrets to uncover. For those who adore the magical world of Harry Potter and open-world adventures, this game is truly a delightful and magical experience. Highly recommend.

As others have said, this is a cool looking game that is almost as much as a movie as a game -- at least for the first several parts of the game. I bought this for my eleven year old and she liked it, however, once she started playing fortnite (yeah, I know), she hasn't gone back. She plays that with our nine year old son and other friends as it allows networking with others. She plays on a switch. This game is cool enough, however, when she did play, to keep the interest of our other kids just watching her play -- me too. The game is a bit slow compared to other games however there are action sequences when casting spells trying to eliminate villains. In my opinion this would be a great game for someone just getting into gaming or their first action game. Especially if your kid is a fan of the books/movies. The game is pretty tame and the fight sequences are very mild compared to fortnite -- if this is a concern. I think kids will enjoy customizing their character with their name and feeling as if they are at hogwarts. For the right person this is a nice game with pretty good graphics and a fun playing experience. The question would be is it right for you.

I have have been playing this game for 3 days so far, on my SWITCH LITE. What I have to say is that, the reviews on here saying that the graphics are awful, are just comparing the switch to the ps5 and other high end systems. Clearly if you have a higher end system I wouldn’t get the switch version. For switch standards this is a fantastic game! There is some lag especially when running through hogwarts, some of the graphics aren’t as good as other ones in the game, and I have experienced a couple weird graphical glitches, DEFINITELY not as bad as Pokémon scarlet and violet. The game only crashed on me once. And it drains my battery super quick, but overall I’m really enjoying my experience, I would definitely watch some gameplay on youtube too see if this game is for you though. If the switch is the only console you have, I would DEFINITELY pick this up. But if you have the newest console or a better console, then I would skip this one. But just remember if you are used to the higher end versions of the game then you will most likely be disappointed, but if the switch version is the only version you know, im pretty sure you will be content. Sorry for the long review.

I'm not much of a gamer. As a kid, I could never beat games that had storylines. I would reach a level or task that I couldn't figure out, and that was the end of it. So the fact that I invested $60 into this game and am having a blast should say something. Look, the graphics aren't as good as you might find with other platforms these days. My first thought when I started the game was, "Yikes, there are some areas of this that look terrible." There's a glitch with the hood on my robe (since been fixed with a December update). Yet I was willing to overlook it and I was quickly immersed. I'll also add that these "imperfections" are much more noticeable when you're playing on a big screen and much less dramatic when playing on the Switch itself. The storyline of this game and how much there is to explore is enough for me to completely forget about its shortcomings. And I should also mention I only know what I'm missing graphically because a friend let me wander around as their character on the PS5 version which SHOULD look better. There's actually a bit of nostalgia to the graphics here. And the fact that this game is playable on the Switch is incredible. I've already spent a few hours having great fun. You should get this if you: -only have a Switch and have no plans to invest in another console -want to play the game and don't care about having the best graphics or performance possible -want to be able to take the game with you or play on a connected screen -love the Wizarding World

Bought this for my wife for Christmas and she can’t stop playing it. She loves Harry Potter and being able to be immersed into that fantasy world with this game has been so fun for her.
