As someone who doesn't own any of the other gaming platforms that this game has previously released on, I have been highly looking forward to Hogwarts Legacy on my Switch and it has been well worth the wait. So far I've had no performance issues running the game on my Switch Lite and I am thoroughly enjoying my time with this wonderful adventure. The open world is immersive and beautiful, with gorgeous graphics, lovely music, and excellent voice acting that brings the variety of characters to life. The story is intriguing and I love the exploration, fun quests, and various secrets to discover. I truly feel as if I'm a student at Hogwarts. The game allows you to choose your difficulty and even on the easiest setting I'm finding the game thoroughly engaging. After hours of gameplay so far I feel I've barely scratched the surface of all this has to offer, and I'm already looking forward to being able to replay it considering the game includes the ability to create up to four characters, allowing each player the opportunity to be able to return to our Hogwarts adventure experiencing each of the four houses should they choose. Even after the main storyline ends, it appears there will be many hours more of side quests and secrets to uncover. For those who adore the magical world of Harry Potter and open-world adventures, this game is truly a delightful and magical experience. Highly recommend.

As others have said, this is a cool looking game that is almost as much as a movie as a game -- at least for the first several parts of the game. I bought this for my eleven year old and she liked it, however, once she started playing fortnite (yeah, I know), she hasn't gone back. She plays that with our nine year old son and other friends as it allows networking with others. She plays on a switch. This game is cool enough, however, when she did play, to keep the interest of our other kids just watching her play -- me too. The game is a bit slow compared to other games however there are action sequences when casting spells trying to eliminate villains. In my opinion this would be a great game for someone just getting into gaming or their first action game. Especially if your kid is a fan of the books/movies. The game is pretty tame and the fight sequences are very mild compared to fortnite -- if this is a concern. I think kids will enjoy customizing their character with their name and feeling as if they are at hogwarts. For the right person this is a nice game with pretty good graphics and a fun playing experience. The question would be is it right for you.

I have have been playing this game for 3 days so far, on my SWITCH LITE. What I have to say is that, the reviews on here saying that the graphics are awful, are just comparing the switch to the ps5 and other high end systems. Clearly if you have a higher end system I wouldn’t get the switch version. For switch standards this is a fantastic game! There is some lag especially when running through hogwarts, some of the graphics aren’t as good as other ones in the game, and I have experienced a couple weird graphical glitches, DEFINITELY not as bad as Pokémon scarlet and violet. The game only crashed on me once. And it drains my battery super quick, but overall I’m really enjoying my experience, I would definitely watch some gameplay on youtube too see if this game is for you though. If the switch is the only console you have, I would DEFINITELY pick this up. But if you have the newest console or a better console, then I would skip this one. But just remember if you are used to the higher end versions of the game then you will most likely be disappointed, but if the switch version is the only version you know, im pretty sure you will be content. Sorry for the long review.

First off, if you like to pick up a controller and play right away, this isn't the game for you. But, if you like following a story and spending half of your console time watching a movie, then this is perfect for you. When you are actually playing it's a pretty decent game. It takes a little while to get the hang of the map. It's also easy to get distracted with the overwhelmingly large castle and all the hidden objects you can find. Games like that can get boring because it seems like there isn't a linear path to take, even though there is, you just have to remember to look at your next task and get back on it. Edit: After playing for several more hours, the game gets really good. You just have to have the time to really focus on learning all of the controls and the spells. Which, I don't typically have the time. The duels are really fun. The amount of detail they put into this game to make it look and feel like the movies is really impressive. From the covered bridge, Hagrids hut, to the moving stairs, and even the overworld around the castle, they covered it all.

After being one of the unfortunate Switch muggles who had to wait until the end of last month to get this game due to our copies not being finished, I literally screamed when my game arrived. I took out the game I was previously playing, and was immediately sucked into the game. Even tho we had to wait a few more months, it was totally worth it. This game is a masterpiece! I even showed my parents, and they were both in shock of the graphics. My dad said it looked so realistic. The story and the puzzles are so much fun. Sure there are a couple glitches and system errors every now and then, but that's no big deal. Hogwarts Legacy is awesome and I recommend it to anyone and everyone!
