I took a chance purchasing this item. My 4 year old grandson loved it. It took a little while working at it to be able to pop the ball out, but once he got the hang of it, he wouldn't put it down. Even if popped at close range towards someone the sponge ball is harmless. I will be getting a few others for different grandchildren. Love the assortment of animals, but the elf is got to be the most hilarious for Xmas. ... show more

My grandchildren, ages 10 and 5, loved this toy and were popping it everywhere. It ended up behind heavy furniture or high up somewhere out of reach, but it was great fun. This is my second order in 3 years, because the boys went crazy with the balls on the first order, and I couldn't find them.

I do Christmas stockings for all of our adult kids and grandchildren. Every year I put a toy in the adults' stockings. This year I put a different popper in each stocking. It was great fun!     • Does not work. Completely false advertising.
I ordered 3 of these for stocking stuffers for 9-11 year old kids. Ended up returning them all, as they do not work. The plastic is very hard and thick. Not easily squeezable plastic, as you might expect. It was hard for me, an adult, to squeeze hard enough to get the whole stomach to compress. There is no way a child would be able to. I often had to use two hands. Even when I did squeeze hard enough (or got a strong hander to squeeze hard enough for me), nothing happened. No air, or not enough air, was produced to make the ball shoot from the elf's mouth. The results were the same for all 3 elves, so this was not a single defective product. I have to question if the reviews here are legitimate, when I see so many 5 star reviews for a product that does not work at all. Not even a little bit. ... show more
