  • well though out and constructed
Been using this tool since November 2017. Hefty yet well balanced. Sturdy material. Sharp edge. The rake tool on the reverse is prefect for separating stones/pebbles/tough grass clumps from the soil after hoeing. Worth the money. Very well built and thought out product.

  • Ash handle arrived cracked (edited)
Ash handle arrived cracked. (Original Order) (additional edit): Replacement process was quick and easy. Second ProHoe arrived in perfect condition and initial use was up to the expected Rogue quality. As mentioned in another review, current handles are Ash and not Hickory as described. A fine tool that joins my other ProHoe rakes in maintaining trails and use during prescribed burns on our property. ... show more

  • Great Trail Tool!
Took this tool on a trail building expedition where my buddy dragged it (unfortunately) on the back of his BOB trailer for 4 miles with many (cringe) rock strikes to the handle. Got to the job site and handle was unscathed. Tool works well. Handle is sturdy. What else can one ask for when building trail? A cooler full of cold sparkling water! ... show more

  • Favorite Hoe! (Insert joke here)
Substantial hoe! Doubles as a limb severing weapon in the Zombie Apocalypse. No joke, this is the only tool I have that scares me. Heavy, 1/4 inch steel and sharp enough to circumcise a gnat. I use it even I don't need to. Just to watch it work. OutSTANDING quality.

  • This McCleod tool is certainly well made, but the ...
This McCleod tool is certainly well made, but the ash handle makes it very heavy, about 6 lbs total. The weight, combined with the thick and non-pliable hardwood handle delivers blisters to gloved hands in short order. If used in trail-building on a rocky tread, the blades need to be sharpened often. ... show more

  • Favorite tool
I keep this on my tractor. It does a little bit of everything I can need. From moving leaves to digging a trench or adjusting gravel or tamping soil. Solid tool. Would love a metal handle one.

  • Not a hickory handle
This is advertised as having a hickory handle, but it’s ash. Not a huge problem, just disappointing mislabeled listing.

  • BEST TOOL EVER!!
BEST TOOL EVER MADE!! This is tough! If you're building trails or maintaining this is the best tool for the job! Holds an edge like I've never seen! Cuts roots, stumps, whatever you need to do! My wife wants new flower beds... No problem now!
