While being pulled down and not able to come up to the surface for an extended time, I had to pull the leash to bring my board close to me so I can climb back up to the surface. You're right Stevie the locals in Hawaii say Ho instead of Hey. Your leash is solid it's been used in heavy water here in Hawaii i feel confident using it. I've had the leash for over 2 yrs and still going I just ordered another to use as a back up.
