I got this so my dog could walk around on my kayak and not slip off. I used a 3M brand professional grade adhesive primer to put this stuff on. It was definitely an all day task to get it on correctly. I used masking tape to make the patterns and then masked off around where I was going to stick it before I put the primer on. The primer is VERY liquidy. Like close to acetone but way way way more potent. What you're seeing here is 18 months after I put it on and maybe 70miles worth of use. It seems like the foam is going to outlive the kayak tbh lol. Super high quality, grate value, looks beautiful, and sticks like there is no tomorrow. 10/10, did buy again. Even bought a third round lol. Also, heres my directions that I put on my review for the green foam. *****I need to mention that I did use 3M Tape Primer 94 to stick the foam to my kayaks. With that being said, the quality of the foam held up well enough that I bought more foam for my other kayak after going out on the river 5 or 6 times. The reason I used primer was that it does get fairly hot here in Oklahoma so I didn't want to chance the foam delaminating from the kayak and one of the two orders I placed came with instructions that recommended I use this specific primer, so I went ahead and bought some. I got an 8oz can and so far I have been able to do the tops and inside bottoms of two kayaks. Even after being submerged in water, the foam is still firmly attached. To cut the shapes, I outlined the areas I wanted to cover with blue painters masking tape, then filled in the area with more masking tape. Once I filled it in, I careful peeled off the portion that I was going to use as a template and stuck it to the backside of the foam sheet. The backing paper on the foam makes it impossible for the tape/template to stick, so you have to be mindful when cutting your pieces, however, the inability for things to stick to the backing works to your advantage when applying the foam to the boat. The 3M primer is very sticky, but the backing paper WILL NOT stick to it, so you can peel back an inch of the paper to start applying the foam, then slowly peel the rest off while the foam is in its final position. 10/10 would recommend this foam. I can't say how well it sticks without primer, but it is worth the $20 to not have to buy more foam.***** ... show more

Looks well made and to be good quality. Easy to install with super adhesive. Put it on in cold weather on wood surface and it seems stuck for life. Have not used used it with my boat on the water yet. So 3stars for now

I recently replaced the trolling motor on the front of my bass boat. It left some unwanted holes in the bow. After patching the holes with JB Weld, I needed something to cover it all and make it look nice. This stuff fit the bill perfectly. I was able to cut it to shape with a pair of normal scissors. The adhesive is strong and it holds well. I swear it almost looks like it came from the factory this way. I was so impressed I took off the factory no slip pad and replaced it with this product.
