The IS-Cruiser is a ½ helmet composed of the Advanced Polycarbonate Composite Shell to provide a lightweight helmet, with superior fit and comfort using advanced CAD technology. This open-face helmet features an integrated sun shield with a smoke tin and anti-scratch coating that deploys easily to slide up or down. A peak visor also helps to protect the rider’s visibility. Great half helmet and I really like the slide-down visor. I was in need of a replacement helmet and I've been happy with the HJC brand, so after trying another brand that had a similar style and having it not fit my head very comfortably, I ordered this product. The color is perfect and matches my motorcycle. The shape of the helmet (most important) is comfortable on my head and more suited to longer rides. The short sun shield does come off easily if you don't like that particular look and the visor slides up and down easily. Usually I wear goggles, but with the built-in shield, I can forego those for sunglasses. The visor is tinted, but it's a very light tint and not good for bright sun, so darker glasses underneath come in very handy, but you can still easily wear the visor down when it gets dark outside.     • Made my girlfriend's head look tiny
I bought this helmet for my girlfriend and had it shipped to Thailand. It took almost a month and after paying the shipping fee and the duty fee imposed by Thailand, it cost me more than double. I must say that this is a very well made helmet, super high quality as stated by other reviewers but it does make my girlfriend's head look tiny. The back of the helmet sticks out way too much, like an alien head and the helmet appear huge because there is almost an inch of space beteween outside and the inside surface. I realize now all DOT helmet requires that space and and I am sure it provides a high level of protection unlike most cheap Chinese junk sold here in Thailand. However my girlfriend did not like it because it makes her look funny and I strongly suspect she won"t be wearing it. Even the best made helmet is useless if not worn. Oh, well, I think I just wasted $200. If you have a huge oblong shaped head and you don't care about the aesthetic, it just might work for you. ... show more
