If you want this double-sided tape to stick well, let it cure for 72 hours before stressing it. I usually don't peel off both sides, just attach the one side, let it cure there for 3 days, then peel of the protective side and attach whatever I'm affixing. Again, let that cure for 3 days as well before stressing it, or you may end up with a mess. This tape isn't as strong as others on the market. I have some that came with grow lights so ridiculously sticky that you can't make any mistakes applying it. Bonding is incredible and immediate. For this tape to work well, follow the guidelines on the listing- affix only to solid flat surfaces for best results and let it cure as I mentioned above. I got this to adhere some small tin signs around in my garage and to hold a few floor mat type things in our utility room. It has done the job well and the tape sticks on both sides pretty good. I like that it's a thin roll vs thick like a duct tape, much easier for smaller things I want to stick to the wall or side of my fridge in garage. Works well, very handy to have in the cabinet for any future needs too! ... show more

    • Sticks even to uneven surfaces
This tape sticks to orange peel and other irregular surfaces if properly cleaned first. Invisible in use. Probably buying more.

Nice double sided tape. Easy to use, and backing comes off without too much effort. I would say the strength of the hold is about a 7 of 10 which will work great with most all of your projects. Overall I would recommend this product

So far, this double-sided, high-bond-strength tape has worked well for me. • I first used the tape to attach a magnetic-stainless-steel plate to the back of an acrylic sign holder, as shown in the two attached photographs. The magnetic-stainless-steel plate allows me to attach the sign — which provides instructions to delivery people — to a strong magnet fastened to a front entry panel on my house. Seems to work quite well. • I’ve also used this tape to attach a steel plate to the back of a mini-legal-tablet clip board and also to attach appropriately-spaced mating magnets to a particleboard tool panel. The removable-clipboard hangs securely from the tool panel without the slightest hint of adhesive detachment. • In a third application, I’ve tested the ability of this product to hold Reflectix-type insulation to the inside panels of my steel garage door. Even in a very short test — a few minutes, during which the tape’s adhesive bonds had very little time to build strength — the small piece of Reflectix adhered quite adequately well, leaving negligible doubt that this product will work for my garage-door-insulation project. In fact, I’m confident enough to have thereafter bought two additional rolls of this tape — on my own nickel — expressly for this purpose. ... show more

    • My shades are ready for another season.
This is very good double sided tape and it served my purpose well. I have those paper shades that just stick up in a couple rooms and the shades adhesive has come undone. They are very light weight, maybe 8 oz.. I used this double sided tape along all of the paper shades and it worked great. Most of the shades were damaged at the top where they were stuck by the original adhesive so I just cut off two of the folds before applying this tape. Overall I'm happy with this double sided tape and will be using it in the future on many projects. It says to let it cure so I used the painters blue tape to hold up the blinds during the curing process. I'm not sure that was necessary on such a light weight item but I wanted to make sure that the adhesion was strong & lasting. ... show more

I have historically used this same type of double sided tape to reattach the trim on my cars or trucks as they age. If it says it has an acrylic adhesive then you can use it for outdoor applications like on your car, truck, or home. It is best to leave it inside of the plastic sleeve in an airtight seal to preserve the foam tape. I have a thirty year old roll that isn't packaged inside of protective bag in the garage and it has degraded over time. The adhesive is just as sticky but the foam will split in two under pulling strain. When it's new or kept in an airtight bag it will hold up much better over time for future projects. ... show more
