  • Real nice tv at good price!- 75" screen
Size: 75-Inch
Only been watching tv for few hours, but i am impressed. Has decent sound that goes loud, probly as good as any cheap sound bar! Old TV sound was getting pretty bad, had to almost had to use CC to catch all dialog. This one, dialog is clear as bell! Real decent picture, coming from 2017 Samsung middle of road tv, would give it 9 out of 10. Old SD stuff some of it looks bad, but some of it[even black&white] looks real good. Large tv probly is harder to get SD to look good. HD OTA stuff looks real good, like the ATSC 3.0 tuner, works real good, have half a dozen of those stations, kinda nice cause the picture doesn't pixelate like the reg OTA stations do. As far as complaints on viewing angle, can get 45 degrees from center before picture dims down some, [this is 75" tv] not seen it to be a problem. TV is easy to set up as regular OTA TV, gets better reception than old Samsung it replaced. We'll see how it lasts, but 9 out of 10 right now! ... show more

  • Best mid tier tv you can get
Size: 55-Inch
Let me start by saying that I would’ve never considered buying a Hisense TV as this has been a lower budget brand in the past. But man is this a nice TV. I got this on Black Friday and for being an OLED TV you won’t get a cheaper TV for the features that are included. I don’t do a lot of gaming and don’t watch a lot of TV but appreciate and value these features when I do so I am by no means a visual snob. This TV comes with four HDMI 2.0 ports and has a variable refresh rate of 144 hz. The blacks are very dark, great bright, and the colors are vibrant and crisp. The Google OS is responsive and easy to use coming from a Roku tv and now prefer the Google over the Roku. I have a nice sound bar, so can’t comment on the sound but upon initial set up it sounded pretty decent. According to rtings.com scored very high and was rated higher than the TCL TV I was looking at. If you’re looking for a TV that you don’t use all the time this is going to be your best option at a very reasonable price point. ... show more

  • Crazy good TV for this price
Size: 75-Inch
This thing looks amazing and does 4k@120hz. It has all the bells and whistles you want in a new TV. I cannot speak to the audio quality of the TV. I have literally never used the TV speakers as it is on a 5.1.2 speaker setup. It's bright enough, the motion looks great, the blacks are good. Almost everything about this TV is perfect. There are a couple of pretty annoying downsides to this TV. I bought this TV to replace my slightly older and smaller Sony X900H (which I loved until it stopped working). The X900H was an Android TV, and I actually really liked that ecosystem. It was smooth and I never had any issues with it. The problem is that this TV uses Google TV instead, and while the interface is slick, whenever you are in any app (Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Paramount, etc...) and the app goes to do a video preview, the entire screen on the TV goes black for a couple of seconds. When you are just browsing an app to find something to watch, this will slow you down. I ended up turning off the auto-preview for every single app that I could because it was driving me crazy. The other issue with this TV is the remote that came with this TV is just laughably bad. I mean, it works. It does indeed control the TV. It's small and looks like a cheap knockoff TV remote that you bought from K-Mart in 1996. You sell me this amazing TV and you give me a Fisher Price "Baby's First TV Remote" to control it. I think for the price of this TV and the gaming/picture quality, you absolutely can not go wrong with this TV. The crazy thing is, I paid about 500 less for a bigger TV that mostly looks better than my old one. I hope I can get more use out of this guy. Hisense is a brand I don't have a problem recommending as long as you get one of their nicer TVs. ... show more

  • Do NOT buy this TV as an “upgraded” gaming TV
Size: 55-Inch
TL;DR: The picture quality of this TV is MUCH worse than my previous TV: a 2016 Sony with no HDR and only 60hz refresh rate. This is not a gaming TV; it’s a budget 4K TV for playing Minecraft and Fortnite and watching 1080p DVDs. I almost never write negative reviews or return items, but I’ll be doing both here. Full review: Movers broke my fairly nice LG TV that I bought in 2020. While I was waiting for reimbursement, I was using a Sony 4K TV with no HDR that I bought in 2016. The picture on that old Sony is objectively MUCH better than the Hisense I’m reviewing here. Specifics: The colors of one object bleed over into another object (i.e., the borders of a small object are not crisp). Ex: the colors of gun icons in the Destiny 2 look like they were colored in with a crayon by a kid with exceedingly poor dexterity. This is on an Xbox Series X with a high-quality HDMI cable. This did NOT happen on the old 2016 Sony. The TV’s picture is super dark. So much so that it might as well not have HDR. You have to turn the in-game brightness up so high that that blacks look almost gray. This is after I spent hours in the super-annoying menus (more on this later), adjusting gamma settings, doing and redoing white balance, adjusting color temps, etc. Ex: Different console, same issue. PS5 replaying Last of Us Part II Remastered. In the beginning playing as Joel, riding back to the settlement with his bro. That part where you crest the hill. It was too dark to make out any detail in the town or the Wyoming Rockies (I think?) in the background. The only way to fix this is with in-game brightness. But you have to make it so bright that the detail is obscured by light (as opposed to dark). Lose/lose. Menu: So you can’t adjust picture setting of the TV while you’re in a game. You can press the settings button and then choose picture settings, but the menu doesn’t open. You have to go all the way back to the home screen, make adjustments, click “Inputs,” choose the source, and only then can you check for any change. It’s infuriating and makes it impossible to see if what you’re doing is making a difference. Refresh rate: This is the only good part of this TV (but not enough to justify the price). Destiny 2 lets you play Crucible at 120hz and this TV can accomplish that at 4K. It was a significant upgrade in terms of movement quality. But, due to this TV’s terrible picture quality, it’s so dark that it’s hard to see what’s going on. Conclusion: If you have a kid (or just a gen Z human of any age) who only wants to play Fortnite, you could get this TV for almost $600. OR you could buy a cheap TV at Walmart for $300 and get EXACTLY the same quality. If you want a TV to play PS5/Xbox Series X games, don’t be like me. Save an additional $200-$300 and get a good TV from LG, Sony or Samsung. ... show more
