Amazing unit — works great right out of the box. It’s a bit larger than expected, but that actually turns out to be a big advantage since it can handle higher power without overheating. The components look solid and well-built (large inductor and quality capacitors), which gives confidence in long-term reliability. Installation is straightforward thanks to the screw terminals. Keep in mind this is a passive crossover with a relatively high cutoff (~280–290 Hz), so it’s better suited for integrating a woofer rather than deep subwoofer applications.     • Decent quality, but switch wiring is perplexing.

I only bought this to get the ~6.8mH inductor quickly; I'm not using it as a crossover. That said, when the switch that selects between the nonsensical choices of 3Hz and 0Hz is in 0Hz position, it really does disconnect the the shunt capacitance (18.7uF, actual, vs 20.6uF going by stated values on the caps), so only the series inductance remains in circuit. Oddly enough, the use of 2 different capacitors and a DPDT switch strong suggests the intent was to select between all of the capacitance or just a portion of it, but the junior intern that must've designed this thing completely missed the target, hence it only gets 3 stars. Also, even with the capacitors in circuitthe corner frequency of 438Hz is way too high for a subwoofer - it needs to be below 200Hz, really, to not cause stereo imaging problems. At any rate, the inductance measured as 7.06mH with a not-too-shabby ESR of 0.83 Ohms (4-wire LCR at 100Hz), so very close to the claimed spec of 6.8mH, and since the price for the whole crossover, delivered next day by Prime, was the same as for just a Dayton Audio inductor delivered in a week from Parts Express I'm happy... but you probably won't be. ... show more

Not for me , it still allowed a lot of mid /treble passing through , maybe more suitable for bookshelf woofers
