Description

The hilmor Vacuum Pump makes oil changes easy with innovative design improvements like a sloped and channeled front housing that creates a natural drain flow, oversized fill port for pouring new oil quickly, and a gas ballast to prolong oil life. Two durable hoist points allow the pump to be transported hands-free using the hilmor HVAC/R Carrying Strap (sold separately). This reliable pump also features an oversized sight glass to identify oil level and detect contamination clearly and a blank-off valve to isolate the pump for accurate vacuum readings and easy oil change without losing a vacuum.

The 9cfm is a beast! It pulls a good low micron vacuum in no time. If anything it's over built which is great if you want a hard working piece that will last years. One tip, buy the carry strap. This thing is heavy but the hilmore strap is amazingly comfortable. I bring this thing up 3 story access ladders no problem and no sore sholder. Great vacuum pump! UPDATE: Still going strong. After a year and a half and a 100 installs this thing is bullitproof. With clean oil it works like the day I got it. With a 1/2" hose it pulls sub 100 microns in no time. It's the fastest pump in the company beating out the NAVEC guys who paid more. Love it. ... show more

The machine starts to leak once up to operating temperature. The filler cap leaks, made of plastic and threads into a casted base. The threads are almost nonexistent in the casted base. Oil drain plug leaks not matter how tight it is. The filler cap has a rubber molded cover that basically falls apart once pump gets hot. Would like to get my money back. ... show more

First use today. Using it to evacuate a pressure vessel with wood immersed in oil(the final finish). Lovely foaming bubbles. Seems like it works fine. Quite quiet. I think it will turn out to be a quality tool. More in a couple of years.

Company won’t provide tools and said I need to provide everything for installs. Since it was coming out of my pocket, I wanted to buy something good that will last. I’ve been using this daily for a few weeks now and I absolutely love it. Combined with my dedicated Appion vacuum set up, most residential systems only take a few minutes to pull down to 300 or less.
