  • Ignore the nagative reviews. This works great if used correctly!
I have been using this setup for over a year. it keeps my pH perfect. The negative reviews must be from people just setting up and hoping for the best. This isn't a 'smart meter' it's just a pH probe and a dosing pump with set variables in the controller. The fewer gallons you treat, the weaker your pH solution needs to be. If you treat a gallon, then one pump from this doser and your pH will sky rocket in the set direction. I treat about 50 gallons with mine using GH up and down solutions with no issues. I regularly double check with a hand held probe as well to make sure this probe is staying accurate! Also you have to keep your probe clean, calibrated, and wet in order for it to function properly. This product is more than worth buying at this price when put up against the competitions' prices. I normally don't leave reviews on products but was about to buy another one of these setups and noticed the negative reviews. I just thought I'd set things straight! ... show more

  • Working perfectly!
If you have a reservoir that needs constant monitoring and adjusting then you absolutely NEED this. It took awhile to get the sensor and dosing tube positioned properly so as not to overdose (this system does a single does until your set PH level is reached) but once we dialed that in it has worked flawlessly. We added a wave maker to our reservoir on one side where the dosing tube is and placed the sensor on the opposite side so the PH solution mixes quickly and doesn’t overdose. We also diluted our PH Down solution 50/50 with distilled water to make it even less likely to overdose. All in all a great piece of equipment if you take the time to dial it all in. ... show more

  • Overdoses, dosing pump didn't turn off even when sensor read lower than set pH.
It overdoses by an insane amount, I came home to find my water at 3.2 when set at over double that. The doser pump seems to be decent, and the sensor is accurate but the actual communication between sensor and doser is terrible, it should only turn on for 5 seconds, turn off, check pH, turn on for another 5, check pH, until it reaches the desired level. If you're thinking about purchasing this I highly recommend you spend a bit more on the BlueLab pH doser. ... show more

  • Works good, very happy.
Works well, o issues, 2 months now, very happy, hoping it has a long life. This unit keeps the PH within 2 or 3 points in 30 gallons.

  • Be careful. Very limited control will over adjust
The ph controller lacks any remote monitoring. Everything came well packaged and calibration was simple. Instructions are minimal but easy. It’s very basic. It monitors ph to one decimal place. The dial is not very well labeled but you can measure and adjust. Once you have the settings set if ph goes below the set level it turns on an electric outlet. The dosing pump turned on when ph rose above 5.8 but then dispensed too much ph down. The ph was 3,0. I have disabled the pump. I’ll call support and see what I missed but the controls just don’t seem to have any adjustment. I could water down the ph solution but if the pump doesn’t shut off until the meter registers it will always adjust to low. ... show more
