Got these screws for my composite deck I was repairing. I didn't even know that you needed special screws for composite decking planks. I was just going to use normal deck screws until I was watched a youtube video that recommended these. These ones prevent the composite material from kind of bunching up and squishing out when you screw it in. These allow the screw to be countersunk easily. These ones definitely worked better than normal screws for this job. ... show more

Tried on my composite deck boards, heads would strip our 1/2" above surface using pre drilled pilot holes. These are total garbage. I had to run out a purchase replacements to finish the job. Don't waste your time and money.
