    • Always says 14% - Even when testing Celery! Won't tell you strain. You have to tell them!
This is pretty ridiculous. I have 1% medical marijuana that works for me, and it has to be lab analyzed 1%. It's reading everything as 14%, even a piece of celery for fun. It's a good concept, but the strains just aren't in the program. For instance, Mousse Cake and Moose Tracks simply don't even show up. The ones that I wanted to know the compounds on. Maybe for some people it's a great tool, but for me it's completely useless and even misleading as to how it is presented ... show more

I've become very intrigued with devices like these since I've recently heard of them. Naturally, I'm doubtful - I mean, how can a photo find a concentration of molecules and then allow an app to calculate a %mass?! Well, I don't understand it but I was curious enough to try it out. All I know is this one works! I'm blown away. After several trials with it using a variety of buds and THC amounts on their labels, I found pretty darn good comparability. Conducted tests on several lab graded strains. Results were 13% - 15% each time. The product was graded much higher. I reached out to HiGrade, where I was informed, by HiGrade representatives, of the following: - Lab testing is destructive, therefore actual lab results may vary, and can be off by as much as 50% - HiGrade product is only 85% accurate, and can be off as much as 3% - Best practice is to repeat the process 3x and take an average. I did. The average was 15%. The product was graded at 26.4%. Based on this information, provided by the manufacturer, I cannot for the life of me see how anyone can ever hope to get an accurate result in any way. As a THC percentage testing product, this device is indeed worthless. Save your money. ... show more

I have been growing since 1977 and read many forums, books etc. First, the phone attachment is worth the money. Second while of course it can not replace a lab test it actually does work to show one grows thc content being higher than another's. But for a new grower this is real help! Send a pic of a leaf and get a solid answer. At least your not on a forum getting twenty "opinions" and still bewildered. Also a realistic way to track your grows so when you get a great one, easily replicate it. ... show more
