The trash can is the perfect size to fit behind the console. By allowing a little slack in the attachment cord it can sit directly on the floor. It looks great and should hold a lot of trash. I like the heavy duty construction and the fact that it stands upright once the inserts are installed. Love the black color as it matches the black console. It’s made to be leakproof but I may put a small bag in it to minimize cleaning. Overall I would say it’s a good product at a nice price. Glad I bought it! :-) :-) ... show more

I drive kids all over, including long Boy Scout trips. Car trash can be a real drag, as kids will drop wrappers (with leftover candy), kick bottles under the seats, and otherwise leave a mess. At the same time, whose car really has room for a garbage can? The seat-back ones are just in-your-face and ugly if you actually have adults in the back seat. This little can works really well. It's small enough and located well enough to be out of the way and look nice and professional even when you have colleagues or adults in your back seat, and functional even with a kid in the middle seat. Its attachment mechanism is simple but works quite well. The slotted deposit hole is a little bit awkward reaching back into from the driver's seat since it takes a bit of a "push" to shove things in, but is still functional and totally beats the usual routine of shoving things in the console until you can throw them out. The inner bag is quite heavy-duty and waterproof, so it's usable without liner bags and cleans up easily even if you get a gooey mess (though if gooey messes are your life the 2-gallon liner bags are a good addition). I use the side pockets to hold phone charging cables for back seat passengers that are plugged into the USB connectors behind the bin. ... show more

The overall product is good. However, the way it hooks into your car, it can be difficult to dump it because your center console presses it down in. It did help my car stay cleaner and holds a good amount of trash

I've had this for a couple of months now and can say it is a great product. many pockets and spaces to put things and keep them organized. I fill it with a box of tissues, hand wipes, a small flashlight, small bags of nuts, and water bottle or cup. nothing tips out! it also has narrow pockets better suited to paper items where I stuff all my receipts and in one of the larger have maps from local park trails. I previously had an organizer that sat on the seat with a strap around the seat to hold it in place. It was prone to tipping forward and was a nuisance to remove when I had a passenger. In contrast, this lovely product can just be swung around to the back of the seat meaning also super easy to swing it back around later. Very happy with this purchase. --- Update - brought this in the house to clean it and it was misplaced. Can't stand to be without it so ordering another! ... show more

I looked at a lot of the vehicle trash containers on Amazon, but I liked this one primarily for the cord used to attach to seat backs or the console rather than a strap. I figured a wide strap would be quite a bit more difficult to deal with than the cord. I also really liked the lid/flap with the flexible trash hole (I'm not sure if that's a real term or not, but you get the idea.) That it was taller than wide was something I wanted as well. The only possibly fiddly parts are the braces you put on the sides of the container. It did take some effort, but they fit just fine. That being said, the seller/company gives you directions for putting them on in the item description, the package the container comes in, and in the follow up customer service email, so I certainly can't say they didn't make the effort to let you know how to do it. I figure that the only reason that they aren't in place before shipping is that the package would be much bigger, and a couple of minutes of my time is certainly worth that. Regular grocery store bags fit just fine, and even without them, the container is very nicely lined. The side pockets are great as well to hold spare bags on one side, and one of those cupholder-sized tissue containers on the other. It's nice enough that I almost feel badly about using it as a trash can! ... show more

I bought this car trash can to specifically hang behind my center console. I have big kids now, and hanging a trash can behind my seat would take up too much of their personal space. I was disappointed to learn that I couldn't use this on my 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. The strings fit around the console. However, the plastic piece that holds the strings together gets stuck in the hinge and the console cannot close. Even removing the plastic clasp, I have to knot the strings and they still block the hinge from closing. Sad I'll have to return. ... show more

I love this trash can so much! It helps to keep my car near and not have trash in areas. I work a lot, so sometimes it's easier to get something to eat on the way somewhere and eat in my car. It's not super big, but it works great. It's also nice that it attached to the car itself. (There are 2 places to attach it) I use mine on the center console as it's easier to throw stuff away while driving. I highly recommend this. I have a bag in mine for an easier ability to throw stuff away, but the inside of the trash can is coated that you could clean it, if you need to. I don't really use the pockets on the side, but it's a good option/idea for people who don't have as much storage space like on back of seat pockets like I do. I purchased this bin 2 wks ago, b/c my garbage "ziploc" bag in the driver door compartment just wasn't cutting it. This one is well made large enough without being too big. It is soft sided, so will easily compress if not stuffed. The inside vinyl appears leakproof (I'm not planning on pouring liquid into it, but if something wet goes in there, it looks like it will handle it just fine. I like the fact that this is behind the console, so doesn't take up any room up front and if there is a backseat passenger it will not interfere with their leg room. I'm able to keep the bin there and have the dogs' hammock on top, so they can't see/get to it either. Other than recommending the bin, I wanted to alert other potential buyers that the side brackets were a small concern. They are a big larger than seems to fit, so I went back to the product listing to watch the video & look at the pictures. Let me tell you, there is no way the gal in the video got them in so easily. You need to stretch and manhandle the side handles and bend the brackets A LOT. It's worth it, and well made, so nothing ripped, but it was tricky. My guess is they made it so tight to put up with weight added to the bin, so they don't come out. So far, very pleased. ... show more
