I used this to mount to the high back seat on my kayak. I have used mine for months now and it is holding up fine. I'm not hammering it with ice and drinks every day though. But still impressive that it's been on this kayak since day one and no issues. Update June 2021. This is still on the seat of my kayak. I have used this extensively and has seen any kind of weather you can get. I am back here because I’m looking at getting another. It’s not broken I’ve just abused it to the point I want another if it does die. Update November 2021 Still on this kayak. Zippers still function and it still works fine. Faded from being in the sun but holding up just fine. I just ordered one for a back up. Don’t put ice in it. These are not really made to our ice in. Non of them are. I use frozen water bottles or ice packs. Update april 2022- The original cooler is still on the kayak. Top black fabric has worn off from the sun but the rest of it still functions. Zippers still work. Stap where I mount to the kayak is finally showing that it may be time to replace. Gets a lot of abuse so I expected it to fail before now. Do not put ice in any softsided cooler without a plastic insert. I put a another backpack on my other kayak and am here to replace it with another one of these. Small enough to stay out of the way when reaching behind me but just big enough for water and lunch. I also use it for extra storage if needed instead of as a cooler. These are not meant to hold ice once it melts. Last update October 2, 2022 So the fabric came off the top and it finally wore enough to need replacing. I’m impressed that this thing was out in the elements this long and still lasted more than one season. Zipper still function Strap to kayak seat never broke Sun did wear down the fabric on top Inside started to bust part. I’ve already bought the replacement Update March 2024. Not sure what else to say but I’m back because these are great. I have had 3 of them and all of them have held up to be tortured. All three zippers outlasted the fabric. But the fabric is getting beat on by weather and the sun. The straps have held up well too and they hang on this kayak full time even down the road. I’m going to order two more and try to spray with some kind of uv protection. What I’m doing with mine is not normal. I would say these would last much longer if you used as intended. This has to be the best product I’ve ever bought from Amazon. I can’t imagine not having these on my kayak!

I purchased this cooler specifically because it was thin and would fit nicely behind my kayak seat. It is exactly what I was looking for! Stable, easy open, keeps things cool, and fits anything I could need for a nice day out on the water. The strap fits perfectly around the kayak seat and also makes for a good shoulder strap when carrying it to/from the water. Great value for the money and I'm totally considering getting a second so my son can also have his water and a meal ready and cold as we take longer trips together.

It works pretty well and has some good space for a few items or drinks. I added an ice pack and i usually have to leave things in the car while i;m at work. As it gets hotter the ice packs melt faster in there and it's still cool by the end of the day but not cold. That's about a 10 hr day but it does not seem like it will keep things cold enough once it gets hotter outside. Currently it remains cool with a temp of 83 outside, it will get much hotter in later months and i dont think it would hold up to the 10hr mark. For shorter trips if it stays in the car with ice packs i think it should last a good 7+ hours

I didn’t like it hanging from the front seats but I put it in the small nook in the back seats (after pulling down the divider). This small thermos backpack is thin and small enough not to interfere with the arm best and provides great back seat refreshments and food for a road trip. I wish cars had an OEM product perfect fit for this not but for now this will do nicely.

Would be a great product if the zippers were utter garbage. One side broke almost immediately on use, and so for a couple years (with light use during this time), i had to zip it from the other side which was annoying and far away from me, until it finally broke that side, so now it's just a flap on top with no way to seal in the cool because both zippers are broken in the middle with no way to reteeth the zippers accordingly. They cheaped out on the zipper design. It needs way more study zipper wall for the zipper teeth and better zipper sliders themselves.

I used this during a cross country move and what impressed me most was how much room I got for how little space it took up. I was just one person, however, so for larger groups, it would probably work better fir day trips or for getting a couple for people to share. Really convenient to hang on seat. I turned mine so it was hanging in the front passenger's seat for easy access. I was still abke to pile a bunch of crap and my cat in the front seat and access the cooler. Items also stayed cool. I didn't use an ice paxk save to save room, but already cold items stayed cold for hours.
