    • Grinds coarse
I bought this for my wheat berries but also used it for whole bean coffee. It works for both but grinds very coarse. Chunky wheat in my bread flour doesn’t work well. Perhaps grinding a few times through would help? I’d rather get a better model and do it once and be done. Don’t waste your money

    • Overwhelming Chemical Smell
So, got the product and the bottom of the box was already opened. I chopped that up to the weight of it and proceeded to fully open the box. As SOON as I opened the box I was hit with an Overwhelming Chemical Smell. My spouse thinks it may be spray paint, but it's giving me a type of fuel smell. Neither of us are confident on either of our guesses though. We were both super excited for this so we figured maybe a good wash will help. However, the smell just became stuck to our hands and so unbearable that we decided it'll be better to just return the item. There's no possible way this can be safe for food and even if it's "deemed safe" most sane people would rather not take the risk. The item does appear spray painted in silver so, I guess that may have been the smell but who wants to risk eating paint chips? ... show more

Grinder is absolutely amazing! The difference in taste compared to electric grinders is remarkable.
