My elderly mother watches the baby a lot, so as my LO grew and got heavier, my mom had a harder time lifting my wiggly, squirming baby into the high chair. So, we got this hiccapop Omniboost chair because it's low to the ground, and my daughter can sit down in it all by herself. Then my mom can snap on the tray and feed her without strain or potential injury. We call it the "snack chair." My LO loves eating snack in the chair with the tray or just hanging out and watching TV without the tray. Seriously, sometimes she won't let me take the tray off. We got the turquoise blue color, and it's bright and cheery. When my LO was around 17 months old, the seat from front to back was a little too deep for her short legs, and we needed to put a blanket or small pillow behind her back to help her sit upright. She's on the short side for her age group. Now, at almost 24 months old, she no longer needs the extra back support. We don't use the belt to secure her when the chair is just on the floor, which is basically all the time, because she can sit down and stand up without assistance. She has even figured out how to climb in and out without removing the tray. She will also pick the chair up and move it around, as well as put things in the mesh pocket on the back. I love that it is so easy to clean -- just remove the fabric seat and throw it in the washing machine! Then the tray goes in the dishwasher! It has a clever design for travel, too. Folds up quick and easy and comes with a carrying bag. We have not yet tried attaching it onto a regular chair, but it's nice to know that's an option. We haven't tried taking it to the beach or camping yet, so we're not pushing it's limits of durability or anything like that. We are pretty chill. Be sure to register this product with hiccapop if you buy it, because it comes with a lifetime warranty! A piece broke off the tray recently (a tab on the underside of the tray that you squeeze to release the tray from the chair), and after contacting hiccapop directly and providing photos of the tray and broken piece, they sent me a replacement tray! Snack time is on again! This chair has been a really great investment all around. It's functional, cute, easy to clean, my baby loves it, and it makes watching her easier for my mom. I ordered this for my 11 month old to sit in when I go to my kid's sporting events. Oftentimes, I am on my own with a 11 month old, 1 year old, and four year old. Having to hold a baby through two ball games can be difficult while handling the other two. Pros: -The overall quality of the chair is great. It seems like it will hold up well over time. -She likes to lean way forward in chairs, so the tray helps to hold her in so she cannot tip it over forwards. -The additional feet help with stability when I have the chair in the bleachers -The carry bag makes it really easy for me to be able to carry the chair along with everything and everyone else I am hauling into the game. I don't even notice that I am carrying another bag. Cons -Because it is soft, my daughter tends to slump in the seat. It is not promoting good posture and I would not recommend using this chair as a primary high chair or daily seat for that reason. She can sit up straight easily when on the floor, so I think it is the fact that the chair does not have a solid support on the bottom that is the problem. That issue is not unique to this brand and is something we would just have to deal with regardless of brand. I just wanted to point it out for those considering this instead of a high chair for daily use. -The tray is small. Again, we knew this when purchasing it, I just want to point it out for those considering this for a primary high chair. Our nanny suggested we buy this chair for our little one to eat in while they are at the park, turns out all of the babies there have the same chairs and all eat lunch together - it's too cute. It's lightweight and easy to clean plus gives him the chance to sit up and eat no matter where we are. We've taken it on vacation with us and on the go. The chair is super durable, we've used it almost everyday for 6 months. The tray recently broke but thanks to the company's LIFETIME warranty getting a replacement was seamless, super appreciative for such great customer service.
