Broke the day I installed it. The housing is made of aluminum and fine, but the spool that holds the rope is what broke. The housing for the spring is made of plastic, and failed.

Pull string rubs on copper bushing on case and will break after a few pulls it rubs a hole right through the string.

    • Bolt holes didn't line up to an ssr 49cc motor
But the recoil itself is removable to I just transfered the recoil over to one of my other covers. Bikes been stated about 50 times now with no issues. You don't have to yank the pull cords! Just simply pull them and they will last very long.
