  • SMART LAP MACHINE: Our All-U-Need flat lap machine is an American-made stone polisher that makes an excellent tool for easily grinding, shaping, smoothing and polishing rocks, stones, minerals, synthetic gem material, enamels and metals to make cabochons for necklaces, earrings, rings, and other jewelry pieces. Comes with a complete accessory kit to start your projects right out of the box.
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE: Each All-U-Need is installed with a powerful 1/4 hp, heavy-duty, direct-drive permanent magnet motor with sealed ball bearings. The motor is variable speed and can be adjusted from 800 rpm all the way up to 3,400 rpm, allowing you to work at your own pace. The coolant reservoir holds about a pint of water. This flat lap machine comes with a 1/2" arbor and accept backing plates that have a 1/2" arbor hole.
  • PORTABLE MACHINE: This lapidary flat lap is a lightweight, portable machine that works anywhere. It's constructed with ABS plastic that is rustproof and easy to clean. The All-U-Need has a small footprint and measures 10" X 10" X 12". Weighing at just 9 lbs, it is a portable rock polisher suitable for use on tabletops and workbenches. You can even take it on the road with you! Its quiet motor won't disturb others around you.
  • COMPLETE FLAT LAP: The All-U-Need comes with everything you need. Its accessory kit includes one 8" 180# electroplated diamond disc, one 8" 325# brown diamond disc, one 8" 600# red diamond disc, one 8" 1200# blue diamond disc, one 8" Tech-11 polishing pad, one 2-gram 14,000 mesh diamond paste syringe, and four 8" acrylic backing plates. It's ideal for polishing various gem materials, both natural and synthetic. Additionally, it comes with a waterproof apron and detailed instructions.

We have used one of these for years. It’s a workhorse! Our stones look as good as those we see for sale at rock shows. It's good for beginners, which I am not, but I don't have the space or money for more sophisticated cabbing machines. The All You Need machine will get the job done. I do wish it came with an 80 or 100 grit flat lap and a 12,000 grit. I don't like the diamond paste and the cloth lap.

I was excited about this design because the water runs down a tube, not out of the side like the other model. Two major flaws are the excess table which is an absolute nightmare to clean, and the splash guard. The splash guard is super flimsy and I’m using small clamps to keep it from tipping over with a full water well attached. Some way to actually attach it would be nice. The excess table that catches the water and excess that is ground off the rocks is a disaster of a design. But the machine works great and I’m able to prep for the upcoming rock show. ... show more

Overall the whole thing is great. I’ve made some really cool pieces and brought out some of the most amazing beauty in some of my collection. The only think I find a “problem”, which is not really a problem. The water container to hold the water for the drip system and the water container that catches the water could be bigger in size to hold more water at once. I used some rubber tubing to make a drain from my catch container to a bigger 5Gal bucket. Love this and glad I got it ... show more
