  • Easy to use and good work out for me.
Style: Buckle
excellent garden tool, got my whole lawn aeration done in 10 min while walking and listening to music. Better than the hand tool I had. Effortlessly! Worth the money.

  • Floor Epoxy Shoes?
Style: Buckle
This came in a box that said Floor Epoxy Spiked Shoes and has a picture of the shoes on the box with very short spikes. I was immediately confused and disappointed as I thought I made a mistake and ordered the wrong shoes and could have swore I ordered lawn aeration shoes. Or, maybe I was shipped the wrong shoes? They were the right shoes. As it turns out the spikes in the box are the longer ones which work for aeration and the back of the box mentions soil aeration (in spite of the box picture showing indoor epoxy use). Anyway, these are better than the old versions I had where I was constantly trying to secure the straps around my ankles as they came loose. This version is almost like ski boots that ratchet down tight and should have a much better and secure fit. Hopefully the straps and plastic release pieces last a good while. Overall, these are much better than my former lawn spike shoes and don’t be alarmed when you receive it and it shows epoxy shoes. They really should do a better job with the box and say multi-use depending on spike length or show a pic of someone using on their lawn as well. ... show more

  • Functional Lawn Aerator Shoes That Get the Job DIY Done
Style: Shoelace
These aerator shoes are an interesting and practical way to help improve your lawn. I live in Southern California, and after realizing my lemon and orange trees needed better watering, I decided to give these a try as part of my plan. They come unassembled, so you’ll need to attach all the spikes to the soles — not difficult, but it does take a little time since there are quite a few pieces. The design works best if you have some weight behind you, especially if your lawn is dry, since that helps the spikes go deeper. Once assembled, they function well and do what they’re supposed to, though they can feel a bit awkward to walk in — that’s just the nature of this kind of product. Overall, it’s a solid DIY option that gets the job done and even gives you a little workout while helping your yard breathe again. ... show more

  • Great for Some Construction Work Also
Style: Shoelace
These are awesome spiked over-shoes. How they fit over my shoes reminds me of my childhood roller skates. I ordered these for landscaping projects, but when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised to learn of their other uses. I will also use them when I paint my basement. The product ad should boast that these are great for such construction jobs. I thought I would be able to use the spiked shoes right away, but they do require time to assemble. They come with the spikes and a small wrench. Shoe laces are also included with the shoe lace version. These spiked shoes are a great deal for 26.99 at the time of this review, and I recommend them. ... show more

  • Floor Epoxy shoes???
Style: Shoelace
When these arrived, they came in a box labeled “floor epoxy shoes.” To use them, you had to carefully insert each spike through the plastic and then secure it with a washer, which took a bit of time. Once set up, it was pretty easy to attach them to the bottom of my shoes, and they fit well. Walking in them felt a bit strange, but I think it really depends on the right amount of moisture in the lawn. If the soil is too dry, you’re just walking across the lawn without sinking in. On the other hand, if the lawn is too wet, it can pull up clumps of mud between the spikes. Ideally, you’d water the lawn and then check if it’s still too dry. If so, water again until you reach the right level of moisture for the spikes to sink in properly. I think the quality was good, and the straps are sturdy. However, I’m now a bit unsure about how well they work. I decided to look into why they called them “epoxy floor shoes.” Apparently, for the best lawn aeration, you should pull up a plug of soil. That said, it will create a hole that fills with water and should help the water reach the depth of the spike. I am happy to have them since renting a lawn aerator is not something I do that often. These are also less expensive than the rental but I still plan to do a rental every other year. ... show more

  • A multi-purpose product
Style: Buckle
What? Epoxy shoes? The product discerption doesn't really match the box, BUT it doesn't really make difference. They still work for the purpose listed in the product description. I am using them to aerate dead patches in my where I am planning to put down seed. It will increase the seed to soil contact and reduce the washing away of the seed while it is germinating. I was also planning to use these shoes while sealing my asphalt driveway. It isn't in the product description nor on the box but these type of shoes are great for walking on fresh asphalt sealer. First impression: I was very happy that these would fit over my size 13 shoes. I was a little disappointed with the amount of required assembly. Yes, all those spikes need to be bolted on by hand. Hard - No. Tedious - Yes. Overall the product seems durable and it does what I was expecting it to do (as described in the listing) despite the box saying something else. ... show more
