I don't follow the crowds. For the last 3+ years, I was astonished as seeing men my age (middle age) wearing these cheap shoes everywhere. I held off and held off. I gave in and bought a pair because I wanted something light, easy to put on, decent looking just to "knock around in". Well my first wear was on a flight to Baltimore, wore them 16+ hours that day, walking a ton. They do NOT have ANY sole support. It's like wearing a piece of pool noodle on the bottom of your feet, but they are comfortable as long as you're not walking on rough surfaces. They are lightweight (weigh nearly nothing), easy to put on/take off and comfortable. I wear industrial-capable Thorogood boots most everyday. I'm not a tradesman but I am in industrial plants/job sites frequently so I have to have protective footwear, extremely durable, tough, comfortable footwear and the Thorogoods do all that. I am enjoying wearing the 'Dudes' in a more casual atmostphere. ... show more
