The concept is all great! The fabric is not like fur fabric - it's thin like craft felt. The base is a split piece of wood so the foundation isn't there. As you build it there is stability. For the price it will be good for our tiny rescued 4 week old kitten. She already loves to play in the little house on this. I hope she'll use the scratching piece. I'm not one that likes putting things together but I was pleasantly surprised that this was easy. It took me 45 minutes and it's built sturdy. This has probably been my most favorite cat tree I've ever purchased and my cats seem to love it. They both weigh over 25 lb. I got the lighter gray color.

I bought this cat tree after seeing at my neighbor's as we have similar layout and she put it between the kitten archway and the bathroom archway which is a perfect fit. It's narrow enough to fit in smaller/narrower spaces and my cats love it. The one issue is that on the top tier the cat bed type round rim starts to bend outward rather than staying straight up. I push it back up but it only stays upright for a while probably until one of my cats lays closer to the rim. Not a big deal. ... show more
