After doing some pretty extensive research to try and find a cat tree for little miss thing to be able to look out the window, I settled on this one. I live with my parents and due to my mom's allergies, the kitty has to stay in my room. Thankfully, she doesn't mind and enjoys the smaller space, however she really likes to be able to look out the window. I used to have a window perch for her to use but the bigger she has gotten, the more it would fall and not hold her. (Mind you, she is almost 5 years old and per the vet, she is part ragdoll and part maincoone. So she isn't a tiny cat by any means) I felt so bad because she loved to look outside but I couldn't put anything directly under my window because of the location of the register. I finally found this one and loved the way the highest part of the cat tower was kind of off to the side so it didn't have to be in the dead center of the window. I finally splurged on it and I am so greatful I did. My furbaby absolutely loves it. She spends almost all her time up on the top perch just watching the neighboors and the birds. It doesn't take up too much space and is easy for her to climb. It holds her up really well. Even when she jumps from the desk over to the top perch, it doesn't budge! It came with the option to attach it to the wall which I thought was nice. I opted not to but I really don't even feel like I needed to. It is really sturdy on its own. It took me less than an hour to build and required no outside tools. The most difficult part was keeping her out of the pieces I was building. A lot of these reviews say it's too small or not good for bigger cats and unless they have lions, I think that's a load of baloney. Definitely an amazing buy and worth the money. ... show more

Unit is very sturdy (I have 2 large cats) and relatively easy to assemble. Not overly high, but just the right height for the space I put it. I turned the hammock towards the front-one cat jumped in and played a few times and it remained stable. If it's turned to the side, it will likely topple over when the cat jumps into it. This tree did not take long to build and is of good quality. It doesn't feel quite as heavy or sturdy as some of the store-bought ones, but that's to be expected since it's a tad cheaper and build-it-yourself (think Ikea furniture). It does not feel like it would tip over and comes with a strap to attach to the wall for added security. This piece gets 4 stars instead of 5 because the design seems a little flawed. My girl, like most cats, enjoys climbing and sitting at different heights. The very top bed/platform is almost directly on top of the second condo, so getting up to it is awkward. My cat has tried and fallen/struggled, and she's normally pretty agile. As such, the top part - as well as the basket - go unused. I think it's better for high jumpers rather than climbers. The gray color is very sleek and it looks great in our living room. This cat tree could go anywhere but especially fits well in corners. My cat is not a fan of the scratching posts/boards on this cat tree, but she's unusually picky about them, and I'll again note that it feels high quality (AKA your cat wouldn't rip it to shreds first go). ... show more

First, I was impressed that they were able to get such a large cat tree into such a small box! Particularly after I assembled it. Second, the engineering to make it so easy to assemble was superb. Lastly, we have one cat, at least, who loves the cat tree! The three old ones? Meh, not so much. But I know that curiosity will get the better of them! Over all, the quality is quite good at a great price point. It is strong, the green color is attractive enough, and a great change from the usual dull gray.     • It took our cat five days to fall in love

We adopted our cat a few months ago and since she was so shy and timid, we assumed she would spend most of her time under beds and furniture. She eventually grew her confidence and would join us on the sofa to watch TV together so we thought she may be ready for a proper cat tree. After assembling it I positioned the tree in the corner by the window (a favorite sleeping spot) for her but she was not interested at all. Treats and toys did nothing to encourage any interest. So we moved it next to the family sofa and that seemed to help her notice it and got her to start using it. She absolutely LOVES the nest/hammock! That is her favorite place to be all the time. It took her another few weeks to discover the top platform and she'll sit on there occasionally, but the nest her preference. She isn't the most graceful cat so she'll stumble in and out of it, but that hasn't discouraged her at all. She never uses the two condos but who knows, she might surprise us yet. As for assembly, all the holes were where they should be so no complaints there. A couple of steps were a little tricky but could figure it out. I did make a mistake when I installed the top platform so that the little hook for the dangley toy wasn't next to the nest as designed. I worked around it by using a staple gun to staple the dangley toy within her range while lounging in the nest. Just a heads up with the nest: it is a fur magnet! It also collects a fair amount of fuzz from the type of material it's made from. Inspect the nest on occasion to clean the extra lint as a favor to your cat. ... show more

I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect cat tree for my cats, and this one is it! My cats and I both love it. It has multiple areas for the cats to lay, and it is very sturdy. I love how it has multiple scratching areas for the cats as well. The size is also perfect and is not too big or small. It was also fairly easy to build and only took me around 30 minutes to build.
