Unless you put the four shelf scratching post on the ground as pictured, there are not enough shelf supports. Who wants to put cat shelves on the floor! The wife picked it out and I didn't notice until putting it up time. Also the drywall anchors and screws provided pulled out of the wall with only the shelf weight on them. I Had to buy more shelf brackets and decent screw in type 35 lb drywall anchors and screws so I know our cat is not going to fall off the wall with a shelf on top of her. What a waste of time and extra money. Make the kit better! We bought a feeding shelf from a different Amazon vendor and I will tell you they did it right! I will put that review up so you all can know what you are up against! Follow up the shelves are not even big enough to accommodate our cat for her to use. She has only been on the 4 shelf scratcher post set-up once and she could not easily turn around so in cat fashion she has ignored them for 3 weeks what a waste! ... show more

The anchors are pretty bad but that was easily fixed by getting new ones at home depot. All in all its very easy to assemble and looks great for an affordable price.

I like the idea and was eager to get rid of the tree that took up floor space in my home. My cat is just too chonky for this and she's not really a chonk at all. She's graceful and loves balancing on everything and hopping on everything nothing is out of her reach but she sat on top of this one time and could not lay down to sleep cuz it was too small and just said no thanks Mom. She had already chewed the mouse toy off of the string so I didn't want to try to return it. If anyone wants mine for free 🙄 ... show more

Beware of buying this item about the hardware. The worst set up ever especially on dry wall. The screws that came with the anchors did not even hold it stripped out the plastic before evening tightening. I just put a ton a holes in the drywall. So if that'll not be that secure I wouldn't trust your cats weight on there that far up. If you get this item your better off getting the right hardware for hardwood and not dry wall which will add another $30 to spend or so. ... show more

More than half of the anchors didn't open up inside the wall and so the screws would fall right out and the pieces wouldn't stay up. I purchased separate screws/anchors at Lowes since what we got was so shotty. Mind you, the two cats we have are both under 10lbs so there should be no issue with the weight limit. However, the 8lb cat got up into the "box" and the whole bottom part just stopped out and the scratch posts actually ripped out of the top piece of particle board and is not able to be put back together. I'm so disappointed. I'd like a partial replacement but that isn't an option through Amazon. ... show more
