We had replaced our carpets with real hardwood or laminate though out the house with the exception of bathroom and floor mats. We could not use the original Dyson head on our cherry hardwood floors without the risk of scratching. This head works perfectly!!! The back wheels keeps the head at the perfect height. It rolls effortlessly and quietly. Just wonderful. Also works well on the laminates and ceramic tile! And it works well on the rugs as well! The headlight is a great bonus making it easier not to miss something. This vacuumed everything that I saw and was good against the baseboards. Just perfect upgrade for such a reasonable price.

This tool does a better job picking up larger objects on the ground than the factory tool. The factory one struggled on hardwood floors to pick up cheerios. They would just get pushed around the floor and never make it into the vacuum. I love the light on the front of this. I like to dim the lights in the room I'm cleaning to see places that need cleaning better. The headlights on this allow me to see the spots that need attention more. At ~$43 this is not the cheapest attachment available, but I'm happy with it's performance.

Great addition to the vacuum heads that come with the Dyson. This head is great for sweeping hardwood floors and vinyl floors also. Great suction and smoother running on smooth flooring. I highly recommend.

The one thing I missed when I switched to a cordles was no lights. That was quickly resolved with this brush attachment. Installs so easily and just a click you are off. I have bottle hardwood floors and a dog that sheds and sheds and sheds. I knew I wasn’t getting all the fur up and looked for alternatives. This is wonderful. My home gets a lot cleaner with this and I have no option but to vacuum daily. I would definitely recommend this again and again.

This Dyson replacement attachment is so nice to use and more quiet than the original Dyson floor attachment. It felt smoother and seems to glide on the floor more easily than the original. Also picked up the dirt more quickly and easily compared to the previous attachment. Love the built in LEDs which made it easier to see the the dirt. This replacement is definitely an upgrade and would highly recommend if you are in the market for a replacement Dyson floor attachment!

SV12 is listed as a model it fits but I guess the Detect model is it's own thing because this doesn't fit. Not entirely sure if it's a mistake with the listing or a mistake with my understanding of model which is quite possibke as it seems an exception. It would fit except the two plug ports stick out just a tad too far. It seems to be a pretty good quality head though and it's really similar to the stock one. If they had an offering that would for sure fit my vacuum I would purchase based on what I see with this.

This thing seems very well constructed and better functioning than the OEM hardwood floor adapter that came with our V7. It cleans the dog hair off our hardwood floors very effectively. The light on the front is very helpful, as it illuminates dust that you otherwise would not have seen. I also really like that it locks in place when you put the vacuum completely upright and allows the entire vacuum to balance standing up.

This floor attachment works great with my cordless Dyson animal. I like that this attachment has a light in the front as the stock vacuum head does not have. It fits in the wall holder as well. It is a great buy.
