These took less than 10 minutes to install and look so good! I appreciate that these shelves are a solid piece of wood and not a piece of MDF with a wood vinyl veneer on top. I’m 68 and have arthritis, but with my Girl Power Drill and tools, along with my Gorilla ladder, installed them in about an hour. Yes, they are very light weight. And when wiped down with damp paper towels, the stain or maybe it’s dust/dirt from the factory, wipes off. It doesn’t remove the stain, but definitely clean them prior to use. Make sure to use the drywall anchors provided and don’t tighten the screws before all 4 are in place. My shelves all fit flush to the wall after sliding them on the support bars and there’s no sag or dip at all. They all sit perfectly level. BUT MY BIG COMPLAINT is the little screws that need to be secured under each shelf are not counter sunk. So the screws are not flush to the underside of the shelves. I used the two screws only on my bottom shelf since they aren’t visible. But not on the others because they would show because of their placement. The shelves are sturdy and are esthetically nice. I included lots of pics as I was installing. I had the perfect indented wall area for them so their length is ideal. Am using for family pictures, glass vases and amethyst geodes. ... show more

I had ordered other shelves that were like plastic with fake vaneer, I returned and was more observant and picky and these were worth the time reading reviews etc! I love them! They are real wood , light weight but surprisingly sturdy! Perfect choice!
