    • Careful with pen cap...
I got this as a gift for later, so I opened the box to make sure it worked properly. I saw the button you can push to make the light come on, towards the top of the wand. You know how when you use a pen to write, you remove the cap and stick it on the opposite side of the pen? The decorative pen top is long and if you push it down as far as it will actually go, it slides over the light button and activates the light! The cap covers the light, but I can see that it is on when I take the cap off the top. If the light is activated under there, I imagine it will drain the batteries pretty fast. You have to pay attention that you are not pushing the cap too far over that tiny button. What a strange design... they could have left a slit in the pen cap or something. Oh well, it's cute! My daughter recieved this for Christmas. She loves it. Her favorite part was that it turns into a pen so she could use it at school. The button for the flashlight is very small and she likes to trick her younger sister into thinking she's using a spell to turn it on. Little sister can't see the button, so she believes it. I had to replace the ink cartridge as soon as I open the box. The little flashlight works beautifully and it's a cute wand but, I bought it for the pen.

I love the look and feel of the wand, and the light shines brightly. The button for the light is a little tough to get pushed sometimes, but it always does work.

Worst ever I wrote two words and it stopped working i opened it up to see if there was any ink and found that the pen was leaking on the inside.
