Hercules has introduced one of the first ever DJ controllers that teaches you how to DJ and includes a wealth of tutorial videos designed to help you learn all of the essential DJ techniques so you can craft seamless mixes using an array of professional controls and functions. The Inpulse 200 MK2 (Blue Edition) comes equipped with beatmatching guides as well as an Intelligent Music Assistant which makes it perfect for beginner and aspiring DJs looking to learn how to mix with creativity and fluidity. The Inpulse 200 is a 2-channel DJ controller designed for use with the DJUCED DJ application and offers a plethora of professional controls for manipulating your tracks. The central mixer section comes equipped with two channels that are both equipped with a 2-band EQ for controlling the high and low frequency bands as well as a gain control and filter control that offers both high-pass and low-pass filter options while volume controls in the centre let you alter the headphone cue volume as well as the master volume. At the top of the mixer section, you’ll find a browser control that enables you to navigate your digital music collection, the browser control features an LED ‘Energy’ ring that visualizes the energy of your selected track, a blue ring means the track is calm while a red ring indicates that the selected record is high in energy and great for exciting your audience. Both of the decks are equipped with a range of controls that allow you to mix with creativity and flair; this includes a compact jog wheel that lets you quickly search through a track and even scratch your songs when the vinyl mode has been turned on. Underneath the jog wheels, you’ll find the performance pads, each deck is equipped with four performance pads that allow you to trigger hot cues and beat rolls, the pads come with secondary functions that are accessible using the shift button and provide you with pad FX as well as a sampler so you can trigger samples for creating live remixes. The stem separation function, hot cueing your songs, and controlling the sampler and FX are all accessible via eight pads, four for each channel. Using these features, you can dynamically mix your music and get the crowd excited whilst adding originality to your DJ sets. An intelligent beatmatching guide makes it super easy to match tracks together for seamlessly blending between your songs. When the beatmatch guide is activated you’ll find that the arrows next to the tempo fader indicate which way to push the fader so you can match BPMs while the beat aligns the screen underneath the jog wheels shows you which way to nudge the wheel so you will be in time. These features are perfect for new and beginner DJs and let you hone your listening and beatmatching skills so you can continually improve your mixes until you’re confident you can step into a DJ booth. When you activate the Intelligent Music Assistant, you’ll be given a selection of songs that perfectly mix with your current playing song; this ensures that your performances will always sound excellent and harmonically in tune with each other and takes the guesswork out until you are confident that your song selection is up to scratch. Also included with the Inpulse 200 MK2 is a comprehensive range of tutorial videos that let you learn all of the fundamentals of DJing so you can improve your skills as you learn.
