I ordered 4 (four) reels of this line and for some reason Amazon split in into two different orders. One, which was two reels, was delivered on the day it was promised which was four days ago. Now the second part which is the remaining two reels in being delivered today which is four days later than the promised delivery date. I tried to talk to customer service to see if they can explain why this happened and just getting someone that can halfway speak English was quite a task. Anyway, this is a great fishing line and I am happy with the product. I'm just not so happy with Amazon's customer service. Tight lines! ... show more

Ok I love the braided line only because of the easiness breakdown when you lose your line because of a snag however you just have to remember it is not your typical fishing line but those can take hundreds of years to break down thereโ€™s definitely a trade-off however, I do prefer to the braided line

I wanted to find an affordable 8-strand to try, so I bought this one and KastKing in 50# and Mounchain in 40# (they didn't have 50#). Mounchain was a bad color, not like what was pictured and I really wanted more than 40 anyway, so that one was out. This Hercules and KastKing did hold 50# in my very simple dumbbell weight test. I spooled up the KastKing because I want to like that brand, but I didn't love it. It didn't seem to go back on the spool well after casting and it was still very loud. It just felt like regular twine winding back on the spool on retrieve. So then I tried this one (Hercules) and really liked it. Hercules broke at 50# twice on my dumbbell weight test but it also succeeded other times as well so I guess it's a bad test and 50# is right at the max. Hercules spools back on the reel very well, seems much quieter, and is a little cheaper than the KastKing (which means it's way cheaper than everything else). I might recommend buying the next test weight up from what you really want because I don't think this is industrial strength stuff, but I do think it's worth the price and I am happy with it.
