  • Love it!

  • Bright, Bergamot-Forward Fragrance with a Clean, Feminine Lean
Size: 0.27 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
After using Windows Down for the past three weeks, my impression is that the opening captures the sharp, fresh bite of crushed bergamot. On skin, it settles into a jasmine-forward scent with a subtle grapefruit note that adds a slight edge, while the bergamot lingers in the background. On clothing, the fragrance maintains more of that citrus “bite,” balancing nicely with the jasmine. I realize people and the brand describe this as being like Earl Grey, and that's accurate to the extent both this fragrance and that tea contains bergamot, but this fragrance lacks black tea aromatics. One spray is plenty—it opens a bit strong, so I recommend applying it about 15–20 minutes before being around others to let it settle. Once it does, it sits closer to the skin and feels more refined. It also lasts longer on clothing than on skin. In terms of quality—clarity, authenticity, and longevity—Henry Rose’s Windows Down is comparable to similarly priced fragrances from Commodity and Heretic. I own several bergamot-forward fragrances from these brands and others, and what sets this one apart is the absence of musk notes, which often push scents in a more traditionally masculine direction. Here, the prominent jasmine gives it a softer, more feminine lean. Henry Rose, Commodity, and Heretic have all made a point to meet evolving “clean” fragrance standards, including contemporary transparency and certification benchmarks set by Goop (love it or hate it, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle influence in this space continues to steer opinions and manufacturers toward better changes). This product aligns with the forward trend with verifiable certifications. By comparison, some brands that cost nearly twice as much—like Byredo, D.S. & Durga, and Le Labo—offer similar scent profiles and “clean” positioning but don’t always provide the same level of transparency or certification. Why pay more for empty promises? I mean, we get enough of that these days. For the price, Windows Down stands out as a strong value with a distinctive, fresh character. • Bright, Clean, and Beautifully Intimate
Size: 0.27 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Windows Down is my second venture into the Henry Rose brand, and at this point it’s becoming clear that artistry is a core part of their DNA. Built around citrus, white florals, tea, and a clean musky base, this one opens bright and immediately citric. The bergamot, grapefruit, and neroli come out confidently, giving it that slightly bitter, sparkling edge right off the rip. There’s a soft soapiness woven into the opening, and while the Earl Grey tea is present early on, it sits just behind the citrus at first. As it settles, though, the tea starts to push forward in a very natural way. It doesn’t smell artificial or overly sweet — it genuinely feels like freshly steeped tea with a gentle, balanced sweetness and a refined bitterness that keeps it grounded. As the heart develops, the orange blossom and jasmine sambac add a breezy cleanliness rather than heavy floral density. It almost feels like sitting near an open window with a cup of tea in hand, fresh air drifting in and carrying faint floral traces from outside. There’s a subtle aquatic cleanliness here, not in a marine-blue way, but more in that “just stepped out of the shower” sense. The musk and white musk in the base give it a soft skin-like glow, while oakmoss and gaiac wood provide a light green, woody backbone that keeps everything from floating away. There’s an herbaceous undercurrent throughout that makes the whole composition feel alive and natural rather than glossy or overly polished. It’s not a loud fragrance. Projection is moderate at best, and the sillage is softer than Jake’s House was on skin. Longevity is acceptable, though I do wish it stretched a bit further and pushed a little more. That said, it doesn’t feel like it was ever meant to dominate a room. This is intimate, refined, and quietly expressive. It wears beautifully on skin and definitely shifts depending on individual chemistry — some people will get more floral brightness, others may lean into the tea and musk cleanliness. It’s unisex in the truest sense; anyone who appreciates citrus, neroli, and a realistic tea note can pull this off confidently. What makes it stand out is that it doesn’t deliver tea and citrus in the predictable way you might expect. It’s familiar but interpreted artistically, with balance between gentle sweetness and restrained bitterness — never juicy, never sugary, never sharp. Just fresh, green, slightly soapy, and exquisitely blended. If you’re looking for a bold projector, this isn’t that. But if you want something bright, uplifting, and thoughtfully composed that feels like a quiet moment of calm with the windows down, this is a really good experience and another strong showing from the house. ... show more

  • I like this Henry Rose perfume more than I thought I would
Size: 0.27 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I It's not that I was expecting not to like it, but Rose in and of itself isn’t a fragrance that I typically tend to like. But, this one smells great. Although it's not necessarily a mini, I have carried this in my purse a few times easily. It definitely has the floral scent but I think it's hard for me to smell the Bergamot and orange. Honestly if I smell citrus, I probably wouldn’t like it. And bergamot, it reminds me of the smell of hair grease , which I know I'm not the only one that will relate that, and I don’t smell that in this at all. The scent is not necessarily light, but it’s also not so bold that it accosts people throughout the day. Instead, it's more subtle, and you can smell it on yourself in quiet moments. I wouldn’t necessarily say this is a unisex perfume though . To me it definitely smells more feminine. ... show more

  • Smells Fresh, not sweet.
Size: 0.27 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This scent is kind of a dry fresh floral. Not my favorite, but I like the fact Henry Rose products are EWG cert.
