front note: VERY fair skinned. a light golden color developed after just 2 uses, after i stopped it seemed to last about 2 weeks! hempz does an amazing job of covering up sunscreen smell with this yuzu starfruit jazz. unfortunately, it cannot mask the smell of self-tanner. it’s annoying enough that i’ll probably end up only using this a few days before “events” or whatever. ... show more

I am a pale redhead and this product is amazing for me. I apply it in the morning and by afternoon, I have a hint of tan. I apply it every other day to give myself some color and because it has SPF 30. I have used many different self tanners and this one has been the best. It doesnt streak or leave areas darker. I do apply less to my feet and make sure I exfoliate in the shower before I apply. I have had complements on the color and people asking how I'm tanning now! I absolutely love this stuff! I put this on every day as a sunscreen and it provided the moisturizing and gradual self tanning benefits! If you're going on vacation, BUY TWO! You'll love this stuff so much that everyone will want to use it! I went through a whole bottle in 1 week because I was cautious about reapplying and 2 people were using it daily. It smells really good as well and does not give off the "fake tan" smell! It does transfer a little bit to your clothes/swimsuits/hats though, but it comes out in the wash! ... show more

My daughter needs to use this product for her dance team since we will be performing during the winter months. As you can see, compared to her face which does not have the lotion on, one night of using it already tones her skin nicely. I used a rubber glove putting it on and let both my daughters air dry about 20 minutes before putting on their clothes. I applied it after they showered at night so that it would set overnight. It did not streak. There is a type of citrus scent. My one daughter liked it and the other didn’t. I liked it. Works well and I love that it has SPF (that's why I bought it), but it smells like a self-tanner alright. The only gradual tanner I've found without the smell is the one by Nivea, but it's doesn't have SPF... womp, womp.

this stuff smells so good and is a real gradual tan. you really do have to build it up over a couple in order to notice a big difference but it looks super natural. Just be careful about getting it on your hands. If you have gloves you can use it would be best. You may end up with some orange palms if you dont. ... show more
