  • love this!
Maybe I'm showing my age, but I love having things on paper in front of me. I've tried every food/calorie tracker app out there and I end up getting so frustrated that I quit soon. I'm ten days in and have tracked everything! I love the prompts at the bottom for cravings/response and how I can look back on how my mind was on a particular day. I also like that you don't have to track calories unless you want to. The front section even has a "Goals" space for non-scale goals. It's a great little product for anyone wanting to eat more mindfully! ... show more

  • Handy food and exercise diary
I really like this book. The format is simple and easy to follow. It helps me to keep track of the foods that I eat and the exercise that I do. By writing everything down, it helps me to take accountability for my food choices and to exercising. I like checking the boxes with a smile for my food choices and exercise activities. I don't like checking the frown boxes so this book has been very very helpful. The book has a wonderful monthly program. I'm not following it. Right now, I'm just trying to eat better and exercise more. I highly recommend this book. It's a great habit tracker ... show more

  • Good setupf
I've tried many different food / diet journals over the years but haven't really loved any of them. I am close to loving this one. I love the setup. The front of the book has a place to record goals/weight/measurements. It includes spots to write food/exercise and record water. I like that you don't have to track calories in it, as I don't do that personally. It has day number rather than date which I also like. Though I do wish it had a dedicated spot to write the date. The only draw back for me is the size/quality. I would prefer a thicker cover and also I'd rather have a purse size journal. This is too big to easily carry with me. If the pages were split in 2 - food one one side when open and the rest on the other side horizontally so you could have it half the size. And a nice pretty thick cover. With a pretty design maybe rather than the title as I'd prefer people not to know what it is. Maybe the maker will see this and make an alternative. But for the price, it's a good choice and I will purchase again. ... show more

  • The best little secret!
Love this daily journal. When trying to start a new life habit, you need encouragement and accountability. This little book has both! It typically takes at least 21 days of actually following the new habit for it to become routine. I was amazed to see my efforts. Especially in the beginning, where I wrote so many things down. It really took me 2 weeks before I began to believed in what I was trying to accomplish. I can look back and see the small victories and to quote one day, I "Woke up with determination and went to bed with satisfaction!" If you are looking for a dynamic, yet very simple guide, this little booklet is for you! ... show more

  • Would be nice to know water unit
I've never tried the food journaling thing, so I thought I'd give it a try because I'd like to see how healthy I do (or don't) eat. I'm a transitioning vegetarian/vegan and really want to focus more on plants vs manufactured cheese/meat soy-based substitutes. I love the simplicity of it, but it's really frustrating to get an accurate recording of water. How do you guys monitor yours?? Is each little water symbol representative of ounces? Cups? Bottles? I'm just crossing off each icon after I finish a bottle of water... and my water bottle (at work, anyway) is 20 ounces. I use a Swell-sized bottle when I work out, and if I eat out or at home, I just have the standard glass-size of water. So, how should I track water consumption?? That's the only reason I'm knocking off one star. I like how it doesn't make you count calories, I don't measure or weigh myself very often so I don't really need a space for tracking that too much, but I would love to know how much water one of those icons represents. Help! ... show more

  • Perfect Weight Loss Journal
I considered many other journals and in the end settled on this one given the amount of information you could log. I really like the body measurements page, the bottom section where you write your cravings/response and victory of the day. I wasn’t sure if they’d be helpful but they really give me an extra boost of confidence when I can write positive things. The other thing that at first I didn’t pay attention to, that has become my daily motivator, is reading the quote at the top of each page. It reaffirms what I’m doing and challenges me to stay consistent. I like this journal very much and it truly helps me stay accountable to myself. ... show more

  • A great way to start your health journey
I really like this cute book. Helps to keep me accountable day to day on my fitness journey. Since using it I don't feel like I'm trying to uphold a new diet or trend. I am simply keeping track of the most essential aspects of living healthy day to day. Things I would change about the book are the size (it's too large to take everywhere, so I've had to take a piece of paper with me to log while away from home). I would also like to see a progress check at least every 15-30 days versus just having one at the beginning and the end. 90 days is a long time to not check your progress. This is strictly personal to me, but I felt the need to add a space for checking in with my emotions since I had a habit of emotional eating. I like that it has a "cravings/response" section as well as a sleep log. I highly recommend this book and want to keep using it once I am done with this 1st one. ... show more
