I'm going to give 4 stars because it might be my fault that the fabric is a letdown. Otherwise, I would give it 3 stars. I wanted cotton, and it IS cotton, but it's that shiny, thin fabric that anything that falls on it stains and is really hard--if not impossible--to get out of. If you sweat or it comes in contact with the oils on your body--or hand lotion or face cream--, that's also a problem. Otherwise, the color is what I wanted, it fits my duvet insert, it has ties to stabilize the duvet, and it is soft. The nice thing about the thinner fabric is that it's lightweight. Not enough of an advantage for me, though, to offset what I described above. I sleep with a towel between my face and the cover to minimize contact with it. I also make sure my hand lotion is rubbed in really well before I grab hold of it. I wouldn't order another one because of the fabric.

Very soft on the skin. Colour exactly like on the picture. I’ve washed them and dried them: no problem. Colour did not move and fabric stayed soft. Size fits perfectly (we ordered Twin duvet covers to fit our Ikea twin duvets). There are some strings available inside to attach the duvet (not used since our Ikea Duvets do not have strings) as well as a zipper at the bottom to maintain the duvet in place. We're very happy with it!

The cover was a beautiful satin texture with a vibrant mint green color. I followed the washing instructions. To my surprise, the satin finish disappeared and the color was a faded mint. It's a comfortable duvet cover but dramatically changes after one wash.

Like many versions of Egyptian cotton linens I've seen, this duvet cover washes pretty well but will not achieve the smooth finish unless you iron all five miles of it. That's not for me; instead, I tumble it for a while and then hang it to dry, which is how I retain the functionality and comfort of an all-cotton duvet cover and still have time to sleep! So far, mine shows no sign of pilling, and I enjoy the weight of it. I use it on an all-season down comforter, so warmth is not an issue. At a modest price, it is attractive, the muted color works well, and if it could be a slightly higher thread count, it would have that last star.
