  • Heavy duty rake
Steady rake where you need something that will not break.

  • A good quality rake
This rake assembled easily. Not sure if the screw together method of assembly will work long term but so far so good! Head of the rake is thick and zero problem using it to clean out our streams. Added some textured tape to the handle in order to get a better grip when not wearing gloves. Once assembled the rake is the same size as any other rake. ... show more

  • A Rake Built to Last—Exceptional Quality and Design
I always have a little bit of distress when I see a modular tool pole design. Far too often, individual metal sections of a pole are connected by plastic threads screwed into a plastic receiver—weak points that inevitably degrade under UV exposure and snap after just a couple of years. When I first saw that this rake shipped in a compact, disassembled form, I feared that it would be another victim of that same flaw. Fortunately, that was not the case. The packaging may resemble what other sellers use to deliver flimsier products, but the moment I started unboxing it, I realized this was something different—something far better. The pole sections come in two bundles: one with standard male and female threads for the main connection, and another with specialized ends—one featuring a rounded hanging hook and the other with bolt holes, clearly designed for securely attaching the rake head. Even before assembling it, I could tell that this was a well-thought-out design. I should note that the instructions, while present, were tucked inside the box and easy to overlook. That said, they weren’t really necessary, as assembly is straightforward and intuitive. The first thing I did was test how solidly each metal section screwed together. Unlike so many modular handles that feel flimsy and prone to loosening, this one locked into place with reassuring stability. The female-threaded sections feature rubber grips that make tightening them effortless, allowing for a snug fit that doesn’t wobble during use. While rubber grips like these could eventually be susceptible to UV degradation, they are not structural components—just an added convenience. Even if they wear out over time, they won’t compromise the overall integrity of the tool. Attaching the rake head was equally simple, thanks to the included bolts, nuts, and tools. I’d recommend installing the bolts upside down, so the excess thread emerges on the top side of the rake rather than underneath. This keeps the underside of the rake clean and smooth, preventing debris from getting caught and making maintenance easier. Where this rake truly stands apart is in the quality of its welds. Most rakes, even some marketed as “heavy-duty,” rely on weak spot welds that inevitably fail under pressure. Not this one. Every single weld is a continuous, full seam, reinforcing both the pole receiver and the side cross-brace supports. I scrutinized each connection, and I couldn’t find a single weak point. The durability of these welds alone puts this rake in a category above nearly every other garden tool I own. From the first use, it was clear that this was a different class of tool. I took it straight to my yard, which has seen its fair share of rakes over the years—many of them breaking, bending, or failing in some other frustrating way. This one performed flawlessly. Whether I was gathering leaves, spreading mulch, or even tackling compacted soil, the tines held firm, the handle didn’t flex, and the rake felt like an extension of my own strength rather than a flimsy barrier between me and the job at hand. I have reviewed far more advanced consumer electronic goods and high end products designed to usher in the future, but I don’t think I’ve ever been this genuinely thrilled about a product’s build quality. This rake embodies everything I look for in a tool—durability, thoughtful design, and reliability. It may be priced a little higher than some of the competition, but when you consider that this might very well be the last rake you’ll ever need to buy, the long-term value is undeniable. I have no suggestions for improvement. This is a perfect example of a manufacturer doing everything right. Five stars, without hesitation. ... show more

  • No stability
Don’t buy a rake in multiple pieces. There’s no stability to it.

  • Nice for occasional/non heavy-duty use.
While I prefer a wooden-handle rake, this one is solid enough to use for general yard use. Overall, a good choice for those who need a rake for occasional use. It can be adjusted in handle length if that's important to you.

  • Sturdy rake for residential use
I was very suspicious of buying a rake that came in parts, thinking that it would be flimsy. But after seeing the high prices of rakes at the hardware store, I decided this was worth trying. I am pleasantly surprised at how sturdy it is! I can't really tell much difference between this and the other rakes I have had from the garden/hardware store. It is very easy to put together. I certainly don't use it every day or even every week, but for occasional use in a residential yard, it seems perfect. ... show more

  • Super lightweight and a good long hollow handle. Easy to put together.
Yay for spring! I was able to use this rake for the first time a couple of days ago. It was simple to put together as all you have to do is pull the pieces out of the package and screw the handle together. Then it comes with two bolts a hex key and a regular wrench sized for your nut. Very simple indeed. I decided I was going to use this to spread mulch in some of the flower beds around the house. Honestly, it's light which I love and the handle is long and hollow as another bonus. The handle parts did unscrew on me a couple of times until I got them tightened enough. If I were worried enough I would probably use this more often, I might put some of that locking tape where they thread together but I was able to tighten it down enough that it stopped moving for the most part. It's wide enough to do a good job to give you control when spreading mulch and if you needed to unscrew it and pack it away, Ii you don't have a shed, you'd be able to do that as well. I don't believe it's a powder coated finish that is on the outside because when I was tightening down the bolts, the paint did flake off a little bit. For something like this, it doesn't bother me. It did a good job! ... show more

  • A sturdy rake. Good for removing stones from grass.
We have a limestone loose rock driveway. A lot of stone was scraped into the grass by the snow plows this winter. The ground has thawed, and we now need to rake the stone out of the yard. I was looking for a sturdy rake to do the job. This looked like a good option. The Good: -The rake was easy to assemble: the handle screws together, and two screws with bolts hold the rake head to the handle. Tools were provided. I had the rake assembled by myself in under 5 minutes. -The handle and head are solidly-made steel. The weld point on the rake head are substantial. -The rake can be made longer or shorter by removing (screwing off) one section of the handle. This is easy to do. -The rake is perfect for a job such as removing rocks from grass. The Bad: -Nothing This product exceeds my expectations. ... show more
