I like mine. Its big & beautiful. My daughter's birthstone is a saphire so this was a great tribute in my mind. I wish it was customizable on the side where it says whatever but its a nice locket. I think over time, the hinges may cause a problem but just be careful with it. You're putting someone's ashes in it so that should go without saying. Edit: I have had it with my daughter's ashes for about 3 months now. I still like it. HOWEVER: *The necklace is tarnishing on the hinges as well as the middle star in the front. *A couple (2) of the white gems fell out. *Lastly, the doors on the locket left an indent inside where they open & close. The hinges haven't failed & nothing has fallen apart where I'd be pissed off. Just a little disappointed that wear & tear happened so quickly especially since this isn't something I wear all the time. That being said, I feel this necklace isn't something you should get unless you don't plan to wear it daily. I am going to take Mobi's ashes & place them in something a little more heavy duty & retire this necklace into a display case. It is beautiful, but its not enough. It is heavy but the actual weight of it isn't what I'm talking about. I am very sad to have to disrupt my daughter's remains because I had to have some trinket & I picked the wrong 1. This is a great solid piece and I gave it to my chosen second daughter in remembrance of her mom who had passed away. I looked at a lot of different necklaces and this one was everything that we needed it to be and it's delicate and sturdy at the same time.

It's so beautiful 😍. I got this for my baby who's 2 because her papa died and I wanted her to have a picture of them together in the locket part. She hasn't wore it and will not until older if she decides so I can't say anything about durability. Very satisfied picture doesn't show how beautiful it is in person. ... show more

Update**** now that I've gotten ashes in the necklace and worn it for a couple weeks I have a few other things to add. 1 being the chain provided isnt all that comfortable, it's a tad long and the locket has almost impacted my teeth on several occasions from bending down etc. 2 the side containing the ashes doesn't like to stay closed, it's constantly popping open especially at my job or doing house work, possibly the magnet or hinge? The ashes have remained safe in place and for that I am less sad about the flaws. I have recieved lots of compliments on the beauty of it and it sure does shimmer nice in the light. It's never easy picking out something that's going to hold a loved one, but when I found this I knew I needed it. I was looking for something that gave off Dallas cowboy vibes without having anything to do with the Dallas Cowboys (loved one was a big fan) could hold a picture of loved one, but also easy on the eyes at first glance, the stars were a huge bonus for me. Its a beautiful locket that has a nice shimmer in the light, a little heavier than I'd prefer but I don't plan on wearing it 24/7. I honestly am pleased so far. ... show more
