This was well received, even though the person is no longer a teenager; I do believe this and other pieces like it were advertised as appropriate for young people. It isn't real gold, but it does not have a real gold price tag. It is simply a pretty bauble with a string of pretty glass-type hearts in different colors. The biggest issue was trying to work the clasp. The recipient does need to have someone on whom she can rely to do that for her, unless she is very dexterous or has some way of singly clasping the bracelet, such as running a piece of string through part of the clasp and clamping it somewhere while she attempts to bring the other part together with it and work the clasp. A bit of a challenge. But so much jewelry has that! Now that I think about it, probably a lot of men have learned to be much more nimble at working some of this delicate stuff. ... show more

This is very cute, I got it for my daughter and she loves it. She's been wearing it everyday for over a month and it hasn't changed color, still looks as cute. It's dainty and can be worn with anything. I do recommend this braclet.
