Keep in mind these are low cost sound amplifiers only... not real medical quality hearing aids. Having said that, they do make sounds louder and easier to hear midrange sound. As it applies to me, I mostly need help with th higher pitched part of sounds. If I turn them up they do amplify that part but then the rest is too loud. So it's kind of hard for me to give you an honest rating that might apply to your personal needs. Also, as it applies to me anyway, there are not very comfortable and I could not find any of the assortment of plugs that come with them that fit me properly. That is not to say they won't fit you just fine. I believe that if they would fit me properly that the simple sound amplification would probably be good enough. Expensive hearing aids have controls to determine which part of the sound to amplify. These do not... if you don't need that particular option and they fit you good then they are a good buy! The only way to know is try a set, I guess. They are not expensive... professional ones are... you're call! ... show more

These worked reasonably well. I could wear them without feedback and they most certainly amplified the sounds around me., more than I really wanted even at the lowest gain. I had to experiment with the ear domes, I needed the largest ones to prevent feedback. I was a bit concerned that there wasn't a link to replacement or other size domes, but found that there are generic ones that fit. For me they amplify too much, especially in the mid band. My hearing loss is at higher frequencies and I'd be more comfortable if they could be tuned to my specific hearing loss. I've had my ears tested and have the curves for both ears. My left ear is much worse than my right, also a reason I wish there were more tuning options. I've not decided if I'm going to spring for professional hearing aids, the cost is kind of prohibitive. On the other hand I understand more the value that a fully adjustable hearing aids and professional tuning would offer. These are OK, but I'd be happier if there was an app (similar to my ANC earbuds) to adjust the gain and frequency bands to match my hearing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I charged these amplifiers prior to use. One of them wouldn’t come on and the other whistled constantly. I have put in an order for replacement and I’ll update my review once it arrives. I did like the ear tips and the size of the amps. The magnetic charging case seems nice. The box they’re packaged in has a hidden storage compartment. I had high hopes for these as they appeared to be a quality item. I look forward to updating soon. ... show more

I have to admit that I am no fan of behind-the-ear hearing aids. In fact, my 94 year old mother-in-law wears them, and just the association makes them undesirable. This is the first pair I have ever owned. Now I'm sorry I never tried them before. The things that surprised me were 1) the quality of the sound. I thought the sound was excellent, and even at the lowest setting I could hear better. And 2), the comfort. It's true, even though behind-the-ear hearing aids are ugly, they're comfortable. In fact, when I wear the "in the ear canal" type of hearing aids I always am conscious of wearing them. Of course, the idea of the inside the ear canal hearing aids being unnoticeable is a major plus. To me there's no missing the fact that you have these babies on. The other side of that is that the actual unit is small, and also incredibly light. I honestly don't feel that I have them on. There is no pressure on the ear canal with these. I should mention that these come with many sets of various sizes of ear pieces, all made of incredibly soft silicone. All in all, these are really great. If I can overcome my being so self-conscious when wearing them I can actually start to hear better. These may be the best hearing aids I've tried thus far. ... show more
