I wear hearing aids so I'm familiar with them and I bought this one because of the small size. It was cheap so I thought I would take a chance and see if it would work for me. It was a mistake, but not a costly one. It has very good volume and with the proper ear sleeve it works without feedback, but the problem is the adjustment wheel; it is just way to small to even see with a magnifying glass and impossible to work with. After trying it for a while I just threw it in the trash. If you get one like this with a much bigger wheel it might work for you, but I don't recommend this one. ... show more

I have been wearing hearing aids for 3 years. Love the in-the-ear size of this product but the left one I've been wearing for a year still isn't functioning well. I thought it was me but now I'm wondering if it was defective. The right one works very well.

I have worn high-end hearing aids for over eight years and continue to do so daily. Make no mistake....these are appropriate only what they are advertised for: hearing amplifiers. They amplify sound. They don't modify it to an individual's specific needs. For the price, why should they? They are great for the intended purpose and are a great value. I use mine as a supplement to my regular aids, which are over-the -ear (RIC) and are a total pain with mask wearing. I've had my regular aids slingshot across parking lots when removing a mask. These in-the -ear (CIC) aids do not get in the way at all. I also use them for strenuous outdoor activity. I am a bit concerned that the lack of any reference to replacement domes and wax filters could render these units useless at some point and would give these 5 stars if replacements were readily available. This review is specifically for the red (right) unit, but applies equally to the blue (left). I do like that these are sold separately, and are therefore individually replaceable if necessary. ... show more

My mom can't hear a sound from her right ear since last month. She is 78 years old, so I decided to buy a hearing amplifier to help her. Spend a lot of time searching and comparing on Amazon and bought this one. The good thing is small and lightweight, long battery life. The bad thing is the treble is not right for my mom. Been dealing with hearing loss for over 5 years, couldn’t afford the $4,000 hearing aids they recommended. This little device has opened up a whole new world to me! Works great!
