I'm an amateur myself so I don't even know what all the stuff is used for. It has a lot of stuff in a nice bamboo stand that really looks good. Includes a recipe book so maybe I can figure out what everything is for.

These are super high quality and substantial bar tools and each has a nice heft to them. The star of the show is the large capacity stainless steel shaker, but you’ll also get a jigger, a long-handled bar spoon, a muddler, a corkscrew, a strainer, tongs, a couple of bottle inserts (liquor pourers) and a recipe book. Comes with a handy dandy and quite classy stand to display it all, except for the book. And that’s OK, since you’ll probably want to hide that recipe book, as anybody who has a cocktail kit as nice as this should already know how to mix drinks. Don’t let your guests know you’re a charlatan! I take it “Hawke & Hanley” is a prestigious name within the UK (although I’ve never heard of them). Still, I’m not a big fan of branded merchandise, so if I had my druthers, I would have made this with the logo on the bottom of the shaker, rather than being so prominently displayed on the side. Apart from that, this is probably the nicest, most professional and most elegant set of bar tools I’ve ever owned. They are exceptional and a pleasure to hold and to use. The whole kit comes in a real snazzy box suitable for gift giving, but I’m keeping this baby all to myself. Shaker is not the greatest. It pops when you remove the top after shaking and if you’re not careful, a mess will be made. Shake it over the sink

Most of these bar sets are very similar in terms of items included and it's organizer shape What I like about this one is the more elegant look, the engraved logos give it a more sophisticated touch, the base is sturdier and the taller jigger is a plus!

If you're like me and are getting tired of the simple "whiskey and cola" and "vodka cranberry", this is a nice pickup and a great overall value. I broke this set out on a football Sunday just to do something different from the usual beer or lazy soda mixed drink. I went with one of the simpler recipes found in the included booklet, the "blue lagoon". It was a hit with everyone that was over. I made the original batch for everyone, then had to teach my friends how to make it themselves as the volume of refills was something I couldn't handle! Everyone around had lots of fun with this bartender set, no doubt I will be bringing it with me for gatherings in the future and using it at home in the meantime. A great gift for friends and family that enjoy an occasional drink from time to time. A nice addition for your own collection as well. Looks nice when set up, nothing looks or feels "cheap". I'm looking forward to exploring more of the drinks in the recipe book! ... show more

This is very well made. The stand is nice and solid and all the tools are really nice. I haven't used all of them yet but I have no doubt they will work. It comes in a nice box with a booklet of cocktails to try out so this would make an excellent gift as well.
