SUPER HYDRATING and smells soooo good I LOVE IT
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)
AMAZING!!! smells so so so so good. Super lightweight and not very greasy, especially compared to other after sun lotions that are on the market. Apples smoothly and pretty quickly soaked into and hydrates the skin. Love it so much and would totally recommend if you are looking for an after sun lotion. It helped me after I got burned to recover, I am not sure at how well it would help to conserve a tan but it’s a great after sun lotion either way!! ... show more

Great cooling before or after sun product! Moisturizing but dries quickly like a gel.
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)
I cannot live without these! Non greasy, moisturizing, cooling. Fast drying. Goes on like a lotion, dries like a gel. I'm in the sun a lot and I love this product because it's quick. And I can use it on my face as well. Pleasant scent, but not really a fragrance. So doesn't seem to attract bugs like my scented lotions would! Best price is to buy the 2 pack. Love this product after the sun or before, better than any other! ... show more

Turns out "smelling like a tropical goddess" solves all my poor life choices.
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Let’s be honest about why people buy After Sun lotion. We didn't plan ahead. We looked at a bottle of SPF 50, said "I'll be fine," and spent four hours floating on a giant inflatable flamingo. By 6:00 PM, I looked like a lightly boiled lobster and felt like a piece of crispy bacon. Enter Hawaiian Tropic Weightless Hydration. First of all, the visual appearance of this stuff in the bottle is mesmerizing. It has those little ribbons of moisturizing gel swirled through the lotion that make it look like a gourmet dessert parfait. I had to actively remind myself not to eat it. When you apply it to a raging sunburn, it is instant bliss. It doesn't leave that thick, sticky, oily residue that traps heat and makes you feel like you've been coated in petroleum jelly. It sinks right into the skin like water into a desert. True to its word, it actually feels "weightless." I was able to put on a t-shirt afterward without getting stuck to the fabric like a piece of Velcro. But the real MVP here is the scent. It smells like a coconut-papaya fever dream. When you walk into a room wearing this, people don't think, "Oh look, there is a person who forgot how sunlight works." Instead, they think, "Wow, who is that majestic tropical creature radiating the essence of an exotic island vacation?" It completely masks the smell of regret and aloe vera. It keeps the skin hydrated long enough that I managed to avoid the dreaded "peeling reptile" phase of a sunburn, which is a minor miracle. If you like falling asleep in the sun or simply want to smell so good that people trail behind you in grocery store aisles, this is your lotion. 10/10. ... show more

this product is amazing. i have neuropathy so i cant feel anything under my knee. i got so sunburned that it blistered and would have scarred if i had done nothing. i used this product for days, but the end result was worth it. my blisters healed without scars and the damaged skin pealed off. this product saved my legs and kept me from an expensive doctor visit. i also started using it on my feet that have neuropathy damage and they are feeling 100% better. i highly recommend this product for all hydration needs. ... show more

Moisturizer to maintain that gorgeous tan
Size: 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
We all love to tan during the spring and summer months. No doubt, a tan makes people look fabulous. The problem, aside from possible skin damage, is that a tan will only last briefly for some people. There is more to getting and maintaining a great tan than lying in the sun. How nicely you tan is greatly determined by your genetics. We would all love to have a beautiful tan, like George Hamilton, the late Farrah Fawcett, and Cara Delevigne. But genetics may keep us from reaching such tanning excellence. Still, we should make the most of what we have. Tanning takes skill and work. First, exfoliate. Spend some time before tanning and remove the dead skin cells on the surface. Next, use a low SPF lotion. An oil type works nicely. Tan briefly, tan slowly. You do not want a sunburn. Take your time. Start with a few minutes, say fifteen minutes per side at first. Fifteen minutes for the front, and the same for the back. You can do 20-30 minutes if you have historically tanned easily. The time also depends on the intensity of the sun. For no cloud cover, keep your time to about 20-25 minutes per side. Tan on alternate days. Take a shower to remove the tanning oil. Pat yourself dry. And then apply this Hawaiian Tropic Moisturizer. You want your skin to be in the best shape possible. This is a great after-sun moisturizer. Hopefully, you will not need the Aloe in the ingredients. That stuff is for soothing sun irritated skin. You want to avoid sun irritation. That is why you are doing this tanning slowly. Give your skin time to adjust to the sun. By keeping your time to 15 to 25 minutes, you may be able to avoid a sunburn. Sunburn is your enemy. Fairer skinned people, those who turn red and freckles easily, should probably not try to tan at all. Anyway, this great Hawaiian Tropic lotion is one of the tools you will use to get and maintain that awesome tan. Long ago, Hawaiian Tropic made an Aloe gel to use as an after-sun care soother. I do not see it in their product line. Perhaps it was discontinued. That too, if you can still find it, should be part of your tool box. Just in case you do get a sunburn. It was great stuff. The smell was wonderful and the gel format cools the irritated skin. It worked for soothing insect bites and minor skin irritations. Women have told me that they used it to soother their skin after shaving. Well, that product is no longer available. At least, not to my knowledge. This product, Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration is the next best thing. It will do the same thing. Besides, some people do not like using gels. Use this product after a bath to maintain your skin's moisture balance. It will work as a regular moisturizing lotion. This is great during the winter months when the indoor air humidity can dry out your skin. That is not good for your tan. It's not good for your skin, tanned or not. This lotion can help you stay moisturized. I have heard people say taking Copper and Tyrosine supplements help during tanning. Tyrosine also helps with focus and attention. Do your research on copper supplements. Generally, the healthier and more fit you are, the better results you will get from tanning. I have tried Tyrosine and have not noticed the difference. I tan easily. Perhaps you should avoid taking a lot of supplements. Just make sure your skin is properly moisturized for the entire summer and take your time. Do not hurry the process. Give your skin and your body the time to adjust to the sun. Tanning should help your body with regards to Vitamin D. So do not overdose on vitamins. Drink plenty of fluids while tanning. Never allow yourself to get dehydrated. The main enemy to getting a great tan are genetics, sunburn, and dehydration. You can control two of the three. There is a technique and an art to tanning. Use of the effective oils and lotions can help you achieve a lovely tan. Highly recommended. ... show more
